Hi Kinkordada. I see you've added citations to articles by John Komlos to several Wikipedia articles recently ( Domestic policy of the Ronald Reagan administration, Supply-side economics and Trumpism). While I think you're right that, at least in the first two cases, these are useful additions to the articles in question, we do sometimes see people citing their own work in Wikipedia articles in order to promote that work. As such, I was wondering if you could clarify whether you are, work with or for, or have any other connection to, John Komlos. If not—if, for example, you're just an enthusiastic reader of his work—then feel free to ignore this message. If you do have a connection to Komlos, you should read WP:SELFCITE and the WP:COI guideline of which it's part. While editors are free to add citations to their own work, it's preferable to begin a discussion at the article talk page first to gauge other editors' views, especially if multiple citations are added. I hope that's all reasonably clear—let me know here or at my talk page if you have any questions. – Arms & Hearts ( talk) 17:00, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
