I asked a friend who has some coding skills (though not too much when it comes to wiki-code) to come up with an idea for the tracking chart for the new WP:WID2011. She was able to do this, which has the basic idea but is not so "user-friendly" when it comes to users adding the articles that they worked on without breaking the rest of the code. Is there anything you can do? Agne Cheese/ Wine 02:51, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Jerem43, you probably don't know me here on Wikipedia, but anyway, I did the GA review for the Burger King Products article that you nominated. There is a lot of revisions needed, but mostly minor, so I will not fail the article, unless you cannot fix all of the issue within a week from now.-- 12george1 ( talk) 02:09, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for claiming the Thomcord (grape) GAC. If you begin the review and I miss it in my watchlist, don't hesitate to drop a note on my talk page. I've doing a lot of Wiki stuff lately so need to reign it in. But I might be able to give you some help in a while. Would not wait for me, just letting you know. The corporate one would interest me more than the products one. TCO ( talk) 22:48, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
I like corporate topics and actually knew someone who dealt with one of the re-orgs at BK at a very high level. My advice (think you have heard it before, but fresh pair of eyes, objective assessment): cut the lead in half. Keep the same number of paragraphs but make them half as long. It's really intimidating to see those big walls of text at the beginning. Remember, the whole article has to be comprehensive, but NOT the lead. There, you need to pick only the most salient matters. Also (this seems silly but would take it seriously), having two hatnotes or whatever at the top is distracting. That is PRIME real estate. And the reader looking at those two lines (and somehow two lines are harder to skip over than one) is not looking at your article. So add the mascot in the BK disambig, or just cut it.
Good luck. Fascinating topic and you obviously have a huge amount of detail and references. It's about making it more clean and organized. Really makes it easier on the reader... TCO ( talk) 03:23, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jeremy, I don't believe we've collaborated in the past, but I have seen your active presence on the Wikiproject Food and Drink, and was hoping that you might be able to weigh in on my proposed revision of the Gatorade article (as posted on the article's Talk page). I've sought out input on the WP Food and Drink Talk page, but it doesn't seem to be quite so active at the moment. Much of my work on this one has been inspired by your recent reorg of the Burger King article. All the best, Jeff Bedford ( talk) 00:19, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Jerem43-
I am contacting you on behalf of McDonald’s as I work on their communications team. First off, I wanted to thank you for the fantastic work you’ve done in keeping the McDonald’s Wikipedia page up to date and accurate. The page is very well written, shows your professionalism and exemplifies the credibility in using Wikipedia to learn about McDonald’s!
Second, while you seem to have things under control, I wanted to reach out to you to see if there’s any information or materials that we can provide you with to further enhance the page. For example, as McDonald’s continues to add new menu items and expand the number of operating restaurants around the world, we have a number of new facts and figures (nutritional information on products, number of operating stores worldwide, etc.) that you might find beneficial. Additionally, we’ve established a presence in the social media world on Facebook and Twitter that we’re increasingly relying on to interact with our customers. Whatever the case may be, please use me as a resource.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks again! Egerstea ( talk) 22:25, 15 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Egerstea ( talk • contribs) 16:06, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jerem43. I've actually got the ingredients together and tried to make a squab pie. Well, actually I didn't have any flour to make pastry, so I created the pie base took the photo and changed it into a stew... So, we have an image on the page. It's not the best image, but it does illustrate the pie, and I'll be updating it when I get a new camera in a few months. Might even make the pie :D Can you have a look and see if you'd be happy to carry on the GA review? Worm 17:19, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

{{

is trancluded without the nocat
paramenter, still the page doesn't show up in
Category:Coffee. It is because everything on the /doc page is only included on the template's own page, but not on pages that transcludes the template. I'm leaving it untouched for the moment for you to see since <noinclude>
, <includeonly>
and <onlyinclude>
can be tricky even for someone used to the syntax. Cheers,

If and when the sale occurs, we then delete this template, as Template:Wendy's is all that would be needed. As it stands now the holding company is "Wendy's/Arby's", of which Wendy's International is a subsidiary. The name is not nor has it ever been "Wendy's Incorporated", so I don't know why you moved the navbox to that in the first place.
We also don't do anything removing Arby's until the sale is completed, per WP:CRYSTALBALL. They said theyre "exploring" a sale. In business speak, that doesn't mean it's a done deal; they may find that they won't get enough for it and change their minds. Wouldn't be the first time. oknazevad ( talk) 14:19, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jeremy,
I'm not saying your verdict in the RFC closure was necessarily wrong, but I find myself questioning the wisdom of your decision to close it. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe you were heavily involved in the discussion, and more or less arguing for one outcome, from the beginning. There were cogent, well-reasoned viewpoints presented by multiple editors on both sides of the fence, so consensus in either direction wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion. Please know that I am not questioning your good intentions when I suggest it would have been preferable for this RFC to be closed by an uninvolved party.

Per this comment. It doesn't appear as though you didn't fully read the policy
In general, styles for tables and other block-level elements should be set using CSS classes, not with inline style attributes. This is because the site-wide CSS is more carefully tested to ensure compatibility with a wide range of browsers; it also creates a greater degree of professionalism by ensuring a consistent appearance between articles. Deviations from standard conventions are acceptable where they create a semantic distinction (for instance, the infoboxes and navigational templates relating to The Simpsons use a yellow colour-scheme instead of the customary mauve, to tie in with the dominant colour in the series) but should not be used gratuitously. — WP:Deviations
What you have done is added "inline style attributes" which override the "site-wide CSS" navbox class. There is no reason to do this, for several reasons (1) "Chicken chains" encompass a wide group of restaurants, all with their own logo color schemes, (2) even if it were a single reastaurant, there is no reason to believe that color scheme has sufficient color contrast to make it readable (see Wikipedia:COLOR), (3) even if it were readable, we are writing an encyclopedia, not making a marketing brochure, and (4) by overriding the "site-wide CSS" it prevents me (and others) from selecting a personal color scheme with better color contrast (e.g., User:Frietjes/vector.css). If you would like to discuss this further, I can start a thread at WT:Accessibility, so others can comment. Thank you. Frietjes ( talk) 15:53, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jerem43, my name is Bruce Marsoobian and last year we corasponded briefly regarding my father, Pater Marsoobian as one of the founders of IHOP. It is true he was the Chef for the Company, but there is so much more about the man. My father is regarded by everyone connected with IHOP in the beginning as One of The Founders. He was there before the inception Of International House of Pancakes which was discussed with Al & Jerry Lapin. It was the 3 of them along side their wives in the long journey to open a Pancake House. I have spent time with my mother and have found some articles about my fathers contributions. I have also spoken to Al Kalis, also a founder of the Company and has expressed most emphatically, my father deserves to be mentioned along side Al & Jerry. Al Kalis has also talked with Jerry Lapin regarding this oversight and endorses this recognition. I also have a vcr video on the 45th anniversary of IHOP and a special presentation to my Father on his accomplishments. It is important not only for me, my friends and family, but for the future generations of Marsoobian's. I would appreciate any help in how to achieve my goal. Marsoobian4695 ( talk)

Hello - I have concerns with one of your edits, here, where you reverted the speedy deletion tag that I placed. Are you aware it is against Wikipedia policy to revert a speedy deletion tag on a category that you created? Looking at the page history, it appears as if this was not the first time you have done this. This was originally tagged for speedy deletion by someone else 6 months ago, but you claimed that the project was going through some sort of large merge at the time, so the declining admin "gave you the benefit of the doubt." As it's been over 6 months and still isn't populated, I see no reason why this category should stick around, as it fits within the WP:CSD#C1 speedy deletion criteria as it doesn't appear to be the type of category that is exempt. Please populate this category so it no longer qualifies for C1, or I am inclined to tag it for speedy again (where I would expect you don't revert/decline it yourself as per policy). If you feel a more appropriate page for a merge target exists, please note such per merge suggestion. I was suggesting that article per your latest comment. I debated, BTW, whether to declare intent to mark pages first or to note them after the fact. Intent, however, often does to hold up under execution, and I am working in a good faith fashion in a developing situation, as I'm sure you are. After a tour of China, I noted that Burger King had an unexpectedly large role there. Chain fast food, while itself a much smaller share of cuisine than in the US and strictly an urban phenomenon, is dominated by Burger King, who were supposedly about ten years ahead of other firms in penetrating this market; It is not directed at Westerners. Hi- in the Template:WPFOOD, the /Assessment pgs need to have a capital "A" (see tmp code), because you don't want to have a redirect to the assessment pgs within the template, so I moved the Beverage TF assess pg. Are there any others that have a lower case? Thanks, -- Funandtrvl ( talk) 15:38, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
|ASSESSMENT_LINK = {{#switch:{{{ASSESSMENT_LINK|}}} |<!--NULL--> = {{#ifexist:{{#if:{{{PROJECT_LINK|}}} |{{{PROJECT_LINK}}} |Wikipedia:WikiProject {{{PROJECT}}} }}/Assessment |{{#if:{{{PROJECT_LINK|}}} |{{{PROJECT_LINK}}} |Wikipedia:WikiProject {{{PROJECT}}} }}/Assessment
Thus, my point is that the project and each TF /Assessment pg needs to be capped, or the assessment link needs to specified each time for the project and any TFs with the lower case assessment link. (which would make the WPFOOD template larger, with more code, than really needs to be.) In the instructions, "ASSESSMENT_LINK – the link to a WikiProject-specific quality (and/or importance) scale. If there is a page at "Wikipedia:WikiProject <PROJECTLINK>/Assessment" then this will be used by default. To override this, you can set this parameter to no." For more details, see: Template:WPBannerMeta/Assessment link. -- Funandtrvl ( talk) 04:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
This is beyond a joke, Dragging out this review over three and a half months. Perhaps you have not read Wikipedia:Reviewing good articles#Assessing the article and providing a review: If instead, the article has problems, you need to decide whether to fail the article (leaving a detailed review), or place it on hold. Many of the considerations concerning "quick-failing" apply here. As the nominal hold period is one week (this is a suggestion, not a requirement) one rule of thumb is to consider whether the issues you have raised could reasonably be fixed within such a timescale. If that is possible, then the article should be placed on hold. If you decide not to place the article on hold, ensure your review provides detailed advice for improvement, and encourage editors to renominate the article once the problems have been fixed. If you wish to continue working with the nominee, then please do so, but please do not abuse the process.

Hi Jerem43. I've actually got the ingredients together and tried to make a squab pie. Well, actually I didn't have any flour to make pastry, so I created the pie base took the photo and changed it into a stew... So, we have an image on the page. It's not the best image, but it does illustrate the pie, and I'll be updating it when I get a new camera in a few months. {{

is trancluded without the nocat
paramenter, still the page doesn't show up in
Category:Coffee. It is because everything on the /doc page is only included on the template's own page, but not on pages that transcludes the template. I'm leaving it untouched for the moment for you to see since <noinclude>

and <onlyinclude>
can be tricky even for someone used to the syntax.

|ASSESSMENT_LINK = {{#switch:{{{ASSESSMENT_LINK|}}} |<!--NULL--> = {{#ifexist:{{#if:{{{PROJECT_LINK|}}} |{{{PROJECT_LINK}}} |Wikipedia:WikiProject {{{PROJECT}}} }}/Assessment |{{#if:{{{PROJECT_LINK|}}} |{{{PROJECT_LINK}}} |Wikipedia:WikiProject {{{PROJECT}}} }}/Assessment
