Welcome. I am sorry that I had to revert your edits to Vancouver East. This article relates to the federal electoral district only. It is not a general article about East Vancouver. Caribou has been added to the page tons of times, and it has been removed the same number of times. There seems to be someone who really doesn't want Caribou mentioned on that page. Do you have any idea why? Qutezuce 04:41, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, those maps were based on the official Vancouver neighbourhood maps found on the city's website. I don't think they have a clear definition of which neighbourhoods are part of "East Vancouver," so creating one at this point may be tricky as it may be based on original research (which, of course, is a no-no). I'd love to try to make one if someone finds a good source for it.
Also, I didn't understand your second post to my

In the context of the article, barbarian is being used in the neutral manner, as correctly and commonly used by historians and contemporaries. It is also more accurate, as "goth" is a term with a lot of controversy over who the goths were and what made up the goths. Finally, the sentence only makes sense when talking about barbarians as a whole. -- Stbalbach 16:53, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm letting you know that I've made serious and major edits to several articles relating to the Christian Brothers sex scandal, because these articles made unfounded and potentially libelous claims about living people. For example, Joseph Burke cannot, repeat cannot, be described as a "sex offender" because the sex offence convictions were overturned. These edits were undertaken to bring the articles into compliance with Wikipedia ethical standards and the biographies of living persons policy. Thank you. FCYTravis 22:07, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
You wrote in an edit summary for the disambiguation page David Moore, "rm multiple redlinked entries - please either create an article or do not add" Actually, I believe that Wikipedia disambiguation policy allows red ink links on disambiguation pages. See, for example, Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages)#Redlinks where its says in part: "Links to non-existent articles ("redlinks") should be included only when an editor is confident that an encyclopedia article can be written on the subject. Adding links to articles not yet written should be done with care. There is no need to brainstorm all occurrences of the page title and create redlinks to articles that are unlikely ever to be written, or likely to be removed as insufficiently notable topics. Do include a redlink when another article links to the ambiguous article with none of the disambiguation options in mind." I emphasize the Do include a redlink.
I have consistently removed additions to the David Moore disambiguation page where I found the entries lacking in notability. -- Bejnar 23:02, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. The article Edward English is being discussed concerning whether it is suitable for inclusion as an article according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Edward English until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Bilby ( talk) 01:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for uploading File:Tol-bok_for_boy.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Graeme Bartlett ( talk) 10:39, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello Hu Gadarn, the reason for this request is that laws state that copyright has to be granted in writing (or typing), this means that you have to say something about what your license is. {{PD-self}} means that you release all rights you have. {{CC-BY-SA-3.0}} means people can use it or modify it, but your work has to be recognised or attributed with a name or dedication that you supply. There are a few other possibilities but I won't promote them. So pick the license you want to supply your work with and paste it into the file description page. That will avoid this problem. The reason copyright is taken seriously is the mission of Wikipedia, which is that it is a FREE encyclopedia, that is free to use. The license proves it is free rather than just being unknown or assumed something. Graeme Bartlett ( talk) 21:55, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Windsor Street (Vancouver), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE🌈 12:00, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
