Hello Hogyn Lleol, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to
Cardigan Lifeboat Station has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without
permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa ( talk) 22:21, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Visit Wales you included material from a webpage that is available under an Open Government Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this legal requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 ( talk) 23:38, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi. This month The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There is over £3000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Wikimedia UK is putting up £250 specifically for editors who produce the most quality new women bios for British women, with special consideration given to missing notable biographies from the Oxford Dictionary of Biography and Welsh Dictionary of Biography. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate independently this is also fine, but please add any articles created to the bottom of the main contest page even if not competing. Your participation in the contest and contributing articles on British women from your area or wherever would we much appreciated. Thanks.

All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Hi Hogyn. I noticed you added two commas to the Blind Faith article and I felt like commenting on this, so here goes. I am an advocate of the serial comma myself, so I sympathize with you on generally wanting it to be used. There is however another strong school on this, as you likely know, and the absence of the serial comma is fully defensible according to this outlook. In the two cases specifically here concerned I think the absence is justifiable regardless, given the shortness of the two series and the absence of any possibility of ambiguity or confusion. I suggest that you not overly concern yourself with text that has been styled without the serial comma. Otherwise you will likely be bothering yourself unnecessarily, and/or giving the impression of being something of a pedantic fanatic in this regard.
Roy McCoy ( talk) 16:30, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
You're right, it isn't – my apologies for the confusion. I'm confused myself, wondering how I got it backwards. I was looking at the change rather than the page itself, but I should still have easily seen that the commas were removed rather than added. If you're into sixties music, by the way (as I may surmise from your having been on the Blind Faith page), you might be interested in following Music Trivia Game on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/musictriviagame/. The game serving as the source of the questions and answers on this page was published in 1984, so the music is all prior to that point. There are 848 questions/answers in all, some going back to classical music from past centuries and early jazz etc., but mostly centering on pop music from the fifties through early eighties. The related question here was: "379. Which group consisted of Clapton, Baker, Winwood and Grech?" (Note lack of comma.) I've just now posted: "387. Who sang the title song from the movie, 'The Rose'?" Cheers, Roy McCoy ( talk) 13:42, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
