Hello HiLo
Before you revert my edits, please look at my explanation in the edit summary. Also please check the source. I changed it because the information was not supported by the cited source in the info box and the body of the article. It doesn't matter that someone put in icorrect information with a notice not to change this incorrect information. All information must be properly sourced and be supported by the sourced document. Thank you. Aemilius Adolphin ( talk) 04:38, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
On 6 April 2023, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Doug Mulray, which you nominated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Spencer T• C 05:45, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
Hey so I thought at first when I got the intro message from Wikipedia that it was automated only to realize it was from a real user. So how does it work, is their a team of you guys sending the messages, is it automated somehow, how do you find new users, etc? Also I noticed that on my mentors talk page that they had the message but that it came much later after they made the account and had already made many edits and was worded to acknowledge that fact, so how did they get the message later, can you only reach so many people, did you guys only start doing this recently? Also thanks for the cookies. Wik206 ( talk) 00:25, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

Regarding the Minstrels section of the 3DB page, I am making a compromise by deleting the link, but retaining the rest of the last relevant paragraph.
I certainly hope that you are comfortable with the compromise.

Wait, so does that mean you think that wikipedia should always use British spelling, which actually, for the most part, makes a lot less sense than the American spelling? Troopersho ( talk) 18:17, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
If you want my honest, true advice, mark this as "blurb under discussion", since technically you did begin the discussion of the blurb, in order to drive up the discussion, because screaming in uppercase letters does not work 99 percent of the time. Cheers, atque supra! Fake scientist 8000 12:46, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
I don’t know if I’m in trouble, but a user seems to be upset at me because I added a category to a blp and they believe that I’m doing it out of an emotional reason.
The article in question is Nick Fuentes. I added the category of “neo-Nazis”, and I was reprimanded by a user. I attempted to explain myself by stating that Fuentes’s statements, actions, and group associations justify him being in the category.
When I made a discussion on the talk page of the article, it was removed. Firekong1 ( talk) 19:20, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
I also had some trouble with another editor named bhagyamani because I was adding common names to pages of animals such as the bush elephant and the european marten, and I even had some sources where these common names were used. Yet, they removed it and refused to listen to what I had to say. I still think the common names should be on those pages and I'll add them there someday when the time is right. I appreciate from your user page that you have strong views on civility, Americans, abusive administrators, and any number of related topics, so please accept this advice in the spirit in which it was given by a non-parochial American administrator who hasn't been unfrocked yet. Calling the nominator a "parochial American" did nothing to improve the discussion and simply made you a target. This isn't a game, not even cricket, we don't get to tally up the points we score off other people. Please consider this going forward. Best, Mackensen (talk) 15:45, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Per the discussion at ANI, The community authorizes an indefinite civility restriction for you. If you make any edits which are judged by an administrator to be uncivil, personal attacks, or assumptions of bad faith, then you may be blocked for a short time up to one week, and up to an indefinite duration for repeat offenses. Blocks resulting from this restriction can only be appealed to the blocking administrator or the community, where community consensus takes precedence. The civility restriction can be appealed to the community after one year since the restriction was imposed or the last enforcement action (whichever is later), and each year thereafter. Answering your question posed to me (in the now deleted thread) on "ignorant", in the US it is pretty well always an insult / pejorative. IMO the rare exceptions (as with any pejorative) are when referring to oneself. Sincerely,North8000 ( talk) 21:30, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
Hi HiLo48, You reverted my edit expressing the opinion that it was “not needed”. The article, as you have reverted it, states Bryant “is a convicted Australian mass shooter” but (beside the expression referring to being “a convicted Australian”) there has never been any such offence of “mass shooter” and the statement is therefore nonsense. Bryant is an Australian who was convicted of a mass of murders for an incident of mass murder. Further, “mass shooter” linked to an article on mass shootings rather than mass shooter and that article made it very apparent that even that term is undefined and much of that article is about the lack of agreed definition and varied usage. Improvement was “needed”. Regards, 115.42.0.84 ( talk) 14:42, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi, You reverted my edit in which I changed accommodations to accommodation. I now realise that the use of accommodations wasn't a typo, but it is the wrong word.
Accommodations means temporary lodgings, usually hotels or board and lodging – or it can mean accommodation in the plural. Neither applies in this case, in which Otto Frank was looking for one apartment. For this, the word accommodation is the correct one. MarcuH ( talk) 11:55, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review
the candidates and submit your choices on the

Hillo HiLo48! I saw you created an article on Ben (Armenian letter). There you dated it "since 405/406". However, as to my knowledge, official/best-of-human-knowledge/commonly agreed date is that all original 36 letters of Mesropian alphabet were "created" in 405. => Why put "/406"? Is there some scientific puzzle or uncertainty? If not, I will correct it.
BTW, thank you for creating the article in the first place! I am slowly making articles of the Alphabet and its letter more accurate and, where possible, informative) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregory108 ( talk • contribs) 01:16, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi HiLo48, trucks should change to cleaner fuels like electric or hydrogen, and smaller clean trucks are indeed catching on. But road trains seem to be the exception so far, with very few clean ones being used. So for the time being, road trains are almost exclusively diesel. That fact is notable, and should be included in an encyclopedia. Failing to do so merely hides the pollution. National fuel usage could be included to show scale.
It seems the Townsville hydrogen road train is not yet operating
I tried to link to WP:Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not wp;wia.

Should editing on this page be restricted? There seem to be a queue of enthusiastic IPs wanting to add the obvious to it, and I imagine this will just continue even before a court case starts.(Of course, in time there will be a place for a page on the event itself). Hello friend. Thank you for the invite. I tried to get an account for like 10 years and was always refused on the grounds of something like "Because I don't feel like it, you little f*ing fa*got. Go s*ck your daddy's c*ck now and k*ll yourself! lol"
Sad. I have found this place is run like a mafia gang of 12 year olds on Ritalin. Luckily, many news pieces have been done about it. What is it? 6,000,0000 articles, and 95% of them are run by 6 users? Yet they advertise it like it is some egalitarian, communal sharing of knowledge.
Rather than come back here, learn to tolerate what you hate, contribute your time, maybe you should get something started exposing the problems? You could be the next Martin Luther, but for online knowledge. Many people would join you! Cheers.

BTW, I came to your talk page in response to seeing your welcome to me a couple of years ago, regarding my edits on the 2020 Olympics ( https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=User_talk:95.145.205.179&diff=cur) 95.145.86.121 ( talk) 15:08, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review
the candidates and submit your choices on the
voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{
NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page.

Hi Hi lo My automatic signature which is in red is SueoftheAntipodes but when I hover my mouse over it it says 'page does not exist'. What does that mean? Perhaps that is the reason nobody replies to my questions about revising the page on Nick Kyrgios? It is in need of major changes and edits but no volunteers seems to be willing to do anything or discuss anything. How do I make my page exist? ! Thanks. I appreciate your invitation to join Wikipedia but I'm afraid I must refuse, I have account that I've not used in years and I don't plan to again. My actions are solely for typos, vandalism and talk pages, I am not confident in doing anything else. But still, from the bottom of my heart thank you, and I wish you a great decade, friend. 92.236.211.53 ( talk) 20:46, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Hello HiLo. I just wanted some advice from someone who trawls school websites at times. I attempted to add Ruby Roseman Gannon to Northcote High School's page and the citation keeps throwing up an error. I can't stare at it any longer! When you have time can you have a look? Cheers Nickm57 ( talk) 09:50, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Let's keep focusing on facts, and update when necessary. Thanks from TGCP ( talk) 00:45, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi there, last August you made an edit to my Talk page pointing out the use of the quadruple ~. Just wanted to say thanks for that (and I wish I would've noticed earlier, I had assumed Wiki adds that automagically ^^) Steffens123 ( talk) 21:56, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Should editing on this page be restricted? There seem to be a queue of enthusiastic IPs wanting to add the obvious to it, and I imagine this will just continue even before a court case starts.(Of course, in time there will be a place for a page on the event itself). What do you think? Nickm57 ( talk) 02:39, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Cheers.

Thanks for the greeting, HiLo48, but I've been editing Wikipedia for about 20 years, and have always deliberately chosen to do so without an account.
Doubtless if I change my mind (which I may one day) I'll be deluged with accusations of being a sock because I'll appear "too practised for a newbie" :-). {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 51.198.186.221 ( talk) 00:41, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
You are editing under a civility restriction that specifies you may not make comments assuming other editors are acting in bad faith. With that in mind, do you stand by your insinuation I am advocating for the name "Tasmania Devils" to to suit [my] obsession with nicknames

That editor is a real problem. As I'm involved in reverting in the end it might have to be ANI if they continue to get warnings. Doug Weller talk 08:30, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
