Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to The Bill, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. Schumi555 ( talk) 17:57, 3 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Holby/Casualty articles

Hello! I've noticed the recent edits you've made to some of the Holby City and Casualty articles. While obviously any work put into the articles is greatly appreciated, only recently did I actually turn a number of the character articles into redirects to the character lists. There was quite a lengthy reason for my doing so, so I wonder if you'd care to read the discussion page of the Holby WikiProject and maybe share your thoughts there before continuing to create new articles? The other thing I've noticed is that, although you've uploaded a number of images, they've almost all been tagged for deletion for having insufficient copyright information. Do let me know if you would like any help with fixing them. Seeing as you're obviously interested in the subject matter, perhaps you'd like to join the Holby WikiProject? It's usually very quiet, so any input would be much appreciated! Frickative ( talk) 18:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Oops! Sincere apologies - I realised literally seconds after leaving the above message that it wasn't you recreating the redirected character pages at all, but an entirely different user. Well now I feel rather foolish. Of course, the offer of help with the image copyright issue still stands. As a by the by, if all you're doing is uploading an updated image, it's usually best to give it the same file name as the existing image. This stops all the existing images being orphaned and they themselves deleted. Frickative ( talk) 18:11, 3 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:JSTony.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JSTony.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot ( talk) 23:22, 13 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Speedy deletion of Jazz Curtis

A tag has been placed on Jazz Curtis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Home and away

May i ask why you decided to remove the citation needed tags on the home and away page. They were there for a reason. Cheers Printer222 ( talk) 09:18, 21 February 2008 (UTC). reply

According to wikipedia policy WP:V "Editors should provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is challenged or is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed." Your recent edit to Home and Away did not cite any sources and has been removed. It is important that information on wikipedia is correct esspecially on a page such of this which recicves high level of interest. Any incorrect material gives wikipedia a bad name hence it is important that all claims are supported by reliable sources. If you can add a source fell free to add yourr information again. Cheers Printer222 ( talk) 16:14, 21 February 2008 (UTC) reply

While I thank you for finding sources to support your information about the different characters on Home and Away i must draw you to the wikipedia policy WP:SPS. In order for content to be verifiable it must come from a reliable source and according to WP:SPS self published information including website forums are not acceptable. As a result i have once again reverted your eidts. I am sorry about this but it is wikipedia policy and must be upheld.. if you can find a source which meets the verifability guidelines as listed at WP:V fell free to add your information again. Cheers Printer222 ( talk) 03:48, 24 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Once again i have reverted your edits to Home and Away. It's good that these characters have been seen filming but unless you can provide a reliable third party refrence it is not to go on the page. If you would discuss these edits you can do so on the discussion page of the article. If you would like to discuss this with me leave a message on my talk page. I must inform you if you cant provide verifable content the content is going to continue to be removed. Printer222 ( talk) 02:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC) reply

I would also like to infrom you that your edits on the following pages have also been reverted. These pages include Victoria Thaine Brittany Byrnes‎ and Matthew Newton‎ die to the fact that this information is not verifable and you have failed to provide sources. This is also the case for Morag Bellingham and Aden Jefferies as these pages also had unverifable content in which you added. Any issues leave a message on my talk page. Morag Bellingham

A tag has been placed on Morag Bellingham, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Morag Bellingham is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{ hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Morag Bellingham saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Thanks for uploading File:LCCollen.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
