Good work. Haven't seen the "tracking link" system before, though - is this documented somewhere? It seems a little strange to be doing spammers the favour of oblique inbound links, when user pages can get spidered and mirrored on sites without Wikipedia's nofollow policy (I assume most spam domains would happily redirect anything.domain.com to their main page). -- McGeddon ( talk) 11:34, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi there. Your recent block of User:Doschadleus has had the unfortunate effect of setting an autoblock on an IP address belonging to one of the proxy servers of the University of Cape Town, so that a substantial portion of users at the university (myself included) are now blocked from editing. I'm not familiar with how the blocking system works, but would it be possible to remove the autoblock on the IP? Thanks, htonl ( talk) 13:37, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

I saw you deleted a page, recently, so I thought I would ask you about this. I accidentally tried to "undo" a category move, instead of moving it back over the redirect, and so the history is not where it should be. If possible, could you move Category:Taxes in Spain over Category:Taxation in Spain? I don't really mind doing another WP:RM, if necessary. (There is already a related one at Talk:Taxes in Spain.) My last edit placing the redirect will need to be undone, as well. Thanks for reading, and sorry for the mistake. —PC -XT + 00:10, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Edgar, a few months ago we had problems with disruptive edits to Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns pages by several editors. We were able to get it under control with some targeted blocks and temporarily protecting some of the pages. One of the most difficult IP's, User:66.76.18.251 has returned and is making the same types of edits to Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball contrary to the established consensus. I see that you were involved last time around and wondered if you could take a look and if you believe appropriate, issue another block. This is the only user making these edits as far as I can tell, so I don't believe any other actions are necessary right now. Thanks! Billcasey905 ( talk) 22:45, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
I'm new to this and was surprised to find my page deleted without even the chance to contest it. Wikipedia is global and not everyone is online 24/7. If an article is not clearly malicious or defamatory, I think consideration should be given to folks from the other side of the world who might be sleeping while the reviews are taking place, and they should be given time to contest. The spirit of free and honest contributions to information is greatly dampened by such needlessly "speedy" deletions.
I'm contesting the deletion with the following reasons: 1. SLNG is a notable organisation because it is the first LNG Terminal in Singapore and the first multi-user terminal in Asia. Most terminals around the world are for either import or export. This terminal can do both. As such, it can potentially change the LNG landscape in Asia, and the way in which LNG is traded. 2. The use of LNG in power generation, transportation, etc is a practical and greener alternative to oil or coal. Until renewable fuel sources become viable on a large sacle, LNG is the best option that we have to reduce carbon emissions. 3. This is not advertising. What was stated were essentially facts about the company and what makes it notable. Compared to the existing and very extensive Wikipedia articles on companies such as HP and Apple, there is very little mention of products and services. In any case, unlike HP and Apple which are consumer-oriented businesses, SLNG is industry-oriented. That is to say, it does not sell anything to the general public and therefore has no motivation to "advertise" on general public platforms such as Wikipedia. So, if the reason for deleting SLNG is because of "blatant advertising", then there is more reason to delete the other companies.

Hi. Are my edits inappropriate or even 'problematic' as mentioned above? Or the fact that I used my own site as a reference? Again.. the same info can be found on several other sites - including other wiki pages, I just combined those facts on my website... It is a fact that he lived on board, and that the yacht was sold to Craig McCaw after he died. The helicopter on board is registered to McCaw's investment firm... The address is the same as the 'Craig and Susan McCaw foundation'. I see that referring to my own website is a bit 'gray area', but the edit is relevant to Bram van Leeuwen and the yacht New Horizon L / White Cloud.. You seem to be a bit irritated that I refer to my own site, but I still think removing the edit is overreacting... Peter-yacht-fan ( talk) 20:47, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
Please see the message I send to Meters. I am no spammer. Dear Meters,
Can you please reconsider your correction? I think you are overreaction regarding my 'spamming'. If I would be spamming, I would place dozens of links all over Wikipedia. But actually there are just 3 or 4 links from Wikipedia to my site, of which 1 or 2 were put online by myself. Apparently the competent moderator did not consider the info as spam. In this case it was not spam.. It is widely known that Bram van Leeuwen lived on his yacht https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=et9mZ387kgY Also it is a fact that his partner sold the yacht after he died http://www.superyachttimes.com/editorial/3/article/id/8815 And even Wikipedia mentions that Craig McCaw bought her /info/en/?search=Feadship So if I would be searching Bram van Leeuwen on Wikipedia, than I would consider this relevant, or at least interesting. The fact that my site has a general disclaimer does not mean that all data is incorrect. Wikipedia is referring to more sites with disclaimers.... So please reconsider.. I am no spammer. lets talk about Magnesium's history: as you can see there are three places named Magnesia. one of them is a Region in Greece.. but two of them are cities in Turkey (Manisa and Aydın). And Magnesia is came from Magnetism.. on the Mount Spil (Spiylum) there is some magnetism. that s why the citizens (ancient Magnesia people) called it Magnetism/Magnesia..
and i saw that u wrote a reference about region of greece.. i cant accept any reference that can be changeable by any user! nobody accept it! you have to use scientific sources as a reference!!

Hi,
the entry that you have created for febrifugine shows the wrong enantiomer and lists the incorrect name. The depicted enantiomer shows the enantiomer that was incorrectly assigned. The CAS database shows the correct stereochemistry, I.e. 2R,3S. This has been confirmed by Kobayashi et al. through total synthesis http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jo990877k.

Thanks for moving TH-302 to Evofosfamide. This was super, super fast :-)
I have 2 questions to the edits:
I'm trying to understand why you (a) deleted this editor's userpage and (b) blocked their account. I'd already declined the CSD on the userpage and simply blanked the (non-functioning) URL that they'd left, which appeared to go to their personal site; we don't normally forbid editors, even new ones, from linking to their personal sites, facebook pages, twitter pages and so on. As to the block, this looks like an account using a person's real world name, and you haven't left a block message for the user to know why you think their chosen username is a problem. Please help me to understand your decision process here. Thanks. Risker ( talk) 02:15, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
Please can you move evofosfamide back to TH-302? The reason is that evofosfamide is currently only a proposed INN. [1] If accepted it will be recommended as an INN later by the WHO and published in the recommended names list (probably in 2015).-- LamasUI ( talk) 09:28, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi Ed! An editor recently changed the stereochemistry of Faldaprevir from (1R,2S) to (1S,2R) [changed back now], which disagrees with your structure. A quick web search produced quite contradictory results. ChemSpider agrees with you, PubChem is in two minds, ChemicalRegister disagrees with you, and Toxnet/ChemIdPlus agrees with you and ChemSpider. I'd say the more reliable sources are on your side, but I'd still like to ask how reliable your image sources are regarding stereochemistry. (I'd much prefer to rely on the many structures you have created, and haven't yet found any errors. Thanks, by the way.)

Hello Edgar181. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.
The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.
If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)
If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}.
Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.
I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC).

The latter account blanked the second warning they received. That raises the suspicion the Crboyer2.0 account is up to something. I warned them about the user name. How else do I deal with this user? Dear Edgar,
I would like to comment the wikipedia article “integrated fluorometer”. The term integrated fluorometer is created by the company(ADC) for an instrument combination of gas exchange analysis instrument and chlorophyll fluorescence as it is used commonly in plant science. Such system combinations are provided by other companies e.g. Licor, Walz, PP-Systems but are not called integrated fluorometer in the literature/scientific publications. This term can be legitimated as integrated chlorophyll fluorometer by the fact that the chloropyhll fluorometer is mechanically attached to the gas exchange system and the analysis allows the estimation of the mesophyll conductance by modelling from parameters analyzed by gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorometry. But the term integrated fluorometer is highly misleading as fluorometry is widely used in science. There are various kinds of fluorometers –and many of them are integrated into other analysis systems. This article is primarily a promotional article for their gas exchange/chlorophyll fluorometer system. Felim 5 ( talk) 21:27, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
the entry that you have created for febrifugine shows the wrong enantiomer and lists the incorrect name.

Maybe I'm spending too much time at UAA, but Hoops gza's contributions strike me as quite unhelpful sometimes. Thanks, Drmies ( talk) 22:19, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi Edgar181
The Nostradamus troll is back, this time as 72.10.154.213. His poisonous abuse is once again threatening to send the Nostradamus Tallkpage into chaos. He's obviously incorrigible -- and obsessed -- so may I please request that he be blocked permanently?

Hello sir;
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Penguinone. Since you had some involvement with the Penguinone redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. ekips 39 04:04, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
I'm BenLinus1214. When I was going to recreate the category "Veronica Mars images", I saw that you had previously deleted the category because it was empty. However, I would like to put new files into this category because I have recently begun rewriting the articles on Veronica Mars episodes to include images, a more detailed plot summary, more reliable sources, and production/reception sections. But because I am a relatively new user, I just wanted to contact you to make sure that there's no problem with recreating the category. Thanks! :)

Because I had started the talk page for this editor it was on my watchlist and I saw you had blocked Totallystraight69 on the grounds that he was (Clearly not here to contribute to the encyclopedia). Did you look at the only other contribution of the individual concerned? I think not or you would have undone his other edit! Cwmhiraeth ( talk) 14:30, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Deserves a talk page block. MadGuy7023 ( talk) 16:02, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Sounds like a talk page block for this user. MadGuy7023 ( talk) 18:22, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Hello Edgar, thank you for illustrating the pages that I started for Fostemsavir and BIT225, both are much appreciated. Would you do me the favor of creating a similar page for phosphonated carbocyclic 2'-oxa-3'aza nucleosides (PCOANs), please? You'll see that I have reference those compounds on the page for HTLV, as they are have potential in the furtherance of treatment. Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TonyDewitt ( talk • contribs) 20:16, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
I kind of suspect they are impersonating me. The user's first edit was to send a Wikilove Message to User talk:Thebeastthepro, a user who I warned for vandalism. The latter account blanked the second warning they received. That raises the suspicion the Crboyer2.0 account is up to something. I warned them about the user name. How else do I deal with this user? Hi, please help, if somebody is blocked how would the person login to place unblock so that the admin would know it's the person, hence he couldn't login? 41.206.11.11 ( talk) 05:40, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Dear Edgar,
I would like to comment the wikipedia article “integrated fluorometer”.

Edgar181,
Thank you for updating and adding necessary information to the article on 13-Methyltetradecanoic acid. Could you instruct me on how to add that "info box" you provided on the right of the page? Also, the underlined title and subtitles look great. I would like to learn how to do that.

At what point will the block on User:ConteRaff become permanent? The user has been warned repeatedly, and has never made a constructive edit. — Swpb talk 14:04, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
