  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Copying licensed material requires attribution

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Penal labour in the United Kingdom you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Open Government Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa ( talk) 13:49, 20 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Sorry.
I will be more careful in the future. DotCoder ( talk) 15:45, 20 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Senedd Commissioner for Standards, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. ( Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) ( talk) 21:21, 22 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 30

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Endorsements in the 2024 United Kingdom general election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daily Record. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you have added compatibly licensed text to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Relationship and Sex Education. You are welcome to import appropriate compatibly licensed content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Compatibly licensed sources, including the usage of an attribution template or manually like I did. Please make sure that any other content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa ( talk) 15:16, 4 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your contributions to Patient Client Council (Northern Ireland). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it could be a suitable article subject, but currently it lacks sufficient prose and context to be in the mainspace. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Melmann 20:12, 10 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your contributions to Alcohol Harm Reduction Act 2017 (Northern Territory). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and is an empty article, so far consisting only of an infobox and empty section headings.
