Hi DJV11181988! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
I noticed that you spent a lot of time bypassing the redirects on New York State Route 28. This is normally a worthless activity, but in some cases, you could be breaking the article in the future.
Take, for example, the change from "County Route 2 (Delaware County, New York)" to "List of county routes in Delaware County, New York#2". If that specific county route is split back out into a separate article, this article will not link to it. If an article about the General Location of National System of Interstate Highways were to be written, and this is a good possibility, by bypassing the redirect to "Interstate Highway System#History" means this article will point to the wrong place. You should read WP:NOTBROKEN. Imzadi 1979 → 00:28, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

Your recent edit at
CBS Television Distribution has been reverted.
Trivialist and I had a discussion recently about unsourced library lists on television studio articles. We can see if they had references next to them, but they STAY gone until you provide a tremendous amount of references so the list can survive. If not, leave it alone, and have a nice day.

Hello. Are these edits really necessary? The links that were linked prior to your edits goes to the same website. To me it makes no since at all to add the extra ".../home" or whatever it says after the main www.---.com.
Hello. Please do not add staff members to news station articles unless they are notable. In the words of another user:
“ | Lists of people must meet the criteria listed at WP:LISTPEOPLE. Articles have been protected to prevent these additions and/or the editors in question blocked when they persistently continue to reinsert inappropriate material. If a name is included in the article in this way, it has to show that it's relevant to the subject by meeting WP:LISTPEOPLE. Just because a station lists its employees doesn't mean Wikipedia needs to as well, and other station articles needing similar cleanup doesn't mean this one doesn't need to be cleaned up, because whenever it's actually discussed on a station article, the end result is the same; the names that don't meet WP:LISTPEOPLE are removed. Wikipedia is also not a directory. See here, here, and here for previous discussions about this. | ” |
In other words -- Don't add names that do not have an article! Also, it was unsourced. Adding unsourced content is not allowed, so please let this be your general warning. Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 00:58, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

I know people may want to learn how to speak the names in Chinese, but for non-native Chinese speakers, if they don't know the language, they're hardly going to care about how to say these characters. Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have reverted your edits on the Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles TV templates. The way you layout the TV stations make it way too cluttered because you put all of the stations in one section and makes it look very un-organized. For example, you decided to bunch up all of the stations for New York City and de-categorize them. Not very accessible for easy look-up. And for the Delaware Valley TV stations, you bunched every station up. Please leave the old layouts as they are. Thank you for your consideration. -- Skeeball93 ( talk) 18:21, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello, DJV -- I noticed your edits to Walmart, including this one and the one following it. The first one was made while a Guild of Copy Editors notice was posted asking editors as a courtesy to refrain from editing until the notice is removed as a major copy-edit was underway. We came very close to having an edit conflict while I was in the middle of re-arranging several sections in the article. The second one followed so closely upon my edit removing the notice that it almost looks as if you hadn't noticed the GOCE notice. In the future, try to notice whether there is a "GOCE in use" template notice at the beginning of the article. Thanks. – Corinne ( talk) 00:38, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Hello,
As I have stated regarding the addition of information to the lead, per the Manual of Style requirements listed in WP:Lead:
also from the MoS requirements found in WP:Infoboxes
The reason I keep reverting your changes is because the information you have added to the lead isn't contained elsewhere in the article. In some cases, the changes you made would be grounds for a review of Good Article status. The same goes for the infoboxes, they are summaries that do not need every fact and figure about the company - only quick facts that are explained in detail in the article.
Also, the reason I keep removing the specific number of stores is because it is constantly changing. E.G. Yes, Burger King states that it had 15,003 stores in its 2015 10-K statement; however that was as of December 31, 2015. Since then the company has released two 8-K forms which state different numbers. Stores have closed, stores have opened and that number is no longer accurate. That is why I changed it to 15,000+; that number gives the reader a good idea of the size of the company's operations and will not become outdated as quickly.
Please stop insisting that articles must have the information because of your personal opinion and provide a valid, policy based reason why these changes are proper. I've given you my reasons why I reverted your changes, its your turn to stop edit warring and provide a reason why they should stay. -- Jeremy ( blah blah • I did it!) 17:44, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to
Time Warner Cable, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some

Don't add audio information to station article channel maps. It's usually unsourceable and just adds extraneous noise to the article. Any further additions to television templates without a minimum discussion on WP:TVS will be reverted without comment. Nate • ( chatter) 03:25, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
If you haven't already, you need to read this discussion on that article's talk page at Talk:Best Friends Whenever#About show's "apparent" cancellation (and possibly contribute to the discussion) regarding what sources have come out about the cancellation of the show, and why we are not accepting them ... and are in need of reliable ones that clearly indicate that Disney Channel has officially cancelled the show. You have been given enough warning already about why we are not accepting the edits you have made at Best Friends Whenever, List of programs broadcast by Disney Channel, List of Disney Channel series, and Template:Disney Channel Original Series, yet you continue to restore these edits in the foregoing articles without giving any feedback to the editors who have reverted you. It may be true the show has been cancelled, and the indications from the sources that have been brought forth by you or other editors point toward that, but none of these sources are clearly speaking on behalf of Disney Channel. Even the M Magazine source currently used in the Best Friends Whenever article is sketchy based on their leaning toward gossip - we need solid proof from an official Disney representative/executive or a source unequivocally reporting on their behalf to indicate the series' cancellation. MPFitz1968 ( talk) 19:58, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
This is your last warning on this; don't remove the TVQ template from television station articles, like you did [1] here. You have an issue with TVQ, bring it up on the talk page at Template talk:TVQ. Don't throw in links that'll throw off the reader and other editors. Nate • ( chatter) 16:45, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Welcome to WikiProject Radio! Because most HD Radio channels are usually linked to a radio network, and the network's slogans are not relevant to the overall station itself, I have reverted your edits on the five iHeart San Diego radio stations. You should also note that most stations use RDS systems, which also carry slogans. The slogans stated on their official webpage, which may match the RDS readings is to act as the official primary slogan. However, On-air statements may differ, which are secondary and tertiary slogans. Exact On-Air readings, which may be longer (essentially a mission statement), do not necessarily apply. And as a San Diego native, I am ensuring that the slogans match that of the RDS, If not the official webpage.
Furthermore, you need to use the edit summaries, located just above the Publish Changes button, so that future editors and administrators can see what exactly happened.
Please DO NOT restore your edits, HD slogans are usually linked to networks, and should only be linked to articles on those networks. However, If you want to create an article on the Breeze network, You may do so.

Hi, Thanks for your contributions.
I have noticed when you edited the infobox for KNSD, you added KCST-TV calls, the suffix actually was added in 1980, per the REC California TV database, I have cited the database in the article for reference. I use the REC database to monitor for callsign changes, callsign history, and repeaters. Also: I have previously contacted you regarding our radio stations in San Diego, but now for TV stations, for callsign history, please be sure you use a database that records callsign history for accuracy before placing it into an infobox.
Again, as a resident of San Diego, I monitor Radio and TV stations in the area for accuracy. In addition, I also know about some of the top rated radio stations in Los Angeles.

Please stop editing the article to report on the individual Sears store closure at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, New York. As I explained in reverting your edit (twice), the article Sears is about the national retailer. Wikipedia is not a newspaper. The closure of individual store locations does not belong in the article. That's why you don't see every store among the 500 or so closed in 2018, much less those closed prior to last year, listed in the article. The only mention of specific stores refers to the closure of the last Sears store in several states. It appears that that event with regard to the state of New York is not occuring now and may not occur for some time. General Ization Talk 18:52, 5 July 2019 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an
edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to
collaborate with others, to avoid editing
disruptively, and to
try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Hi. I just wanted to chat for a second about a couple of edits you made/reversions I made, so as you won't think I'm just trying to pick on you or give you a hard time.
In regards to edits you made on both the Buffalo and Pittsburgh TV templates (that I have since reverted), it needs to be pointed out that even though some stations are piggy-backing on other's spectrums for their physical channel, their virtual channels - which is what people go by and what the stations promote themselves as - remain the same, and thus that is what we go by on the template.
Since the templates go by virtual channel, that is the only one that matters. So in Pittsburgh for instance, WPNT is piggybacking off of WTAE and WPGH for their ATSC 1.0 physical channel/subchannels...OK. Virtually though, they still come up/redirect as channel 22.1, 22.2, etc., which is what people know it as, and the number they use on their clicker to watch it. Truthfully, most probably don't even know (or care about) the technical geeky stuff about how physical channels work and spectrums and so forth.
Same goes for WNYO in Buffalo...piggybacking physical channels off others, but virtually still coming up as 49.1, 49.2, etc.
So as far as the templates go, physical channels and spectrums are irrelevant, as at the end of the day, it's the virtual one that matters.
Thank you.

Thanks for uploading File:WQEN-HD3 logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Some time ago, I removed all of the {{
hidden}} templates for translator lists in articles because that template straight up says in its documentation, Generally, collapsible templates should not be used in articles.
We've also been moving away from tables with excessive technical information on individual translators to this list format. This actually came up at the GAN of another TV station page.

( Opt-out instructions.) -- DPL bot ( talk) 06:01, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
The reason I have been reverting these additions is because they simply are not important enough for that position in the article, and arguably they are crufty. At the top of an article, that is too much detail. See MOS:OPEN.
It's 2022. Most TV stations have off-site or hubbed master control now. We don't need to include that as a fact. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 05:27, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an
edit war according to the reverts you have made on
KSTU. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree.
If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Mvcg66b3r ( talk) 19:17, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi again DJV11181988. I continue to be concerned over your editing pattern. Please give these questions and requests serious consideration.
1) Are you affiliated with Walmart? WP:COI is the link to read on this one.

4) Discuss your edits in article talk; in looking through your contributions this is something I do not see and I need to see it.

Hello,
As I have stated regarding the addition of information to the lead, per the Manual of Style requirements listed in WP:Lead:
also from the MoS requirements found in WP:Infoboxes

Users are expected to
collaborate with others, to avoid editing

try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors.
Thank you.

Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with this edit to Palisades Center. If you want to change that information, please do so only if you can accompany it with citations of sources of greater reliability or of more recent publication. Thanks. You have been here long enough to know how WP:BRD works, and what WP:OR and WP:SYNTHESIS are. You made an edit, I undid it and explained on the talk page. It's up to you to get consensus for your edits. Unsourced claims such as yours have been a problem for quite a while on this article. I pinged you to the talk page, so you can't even claim that you didn't know this was an issue. Unless you have reliable sources that explicitly say how many stores there are and in which states, you cannot make these claims. Meters ( talk) 19:31, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:WHAMNewestLogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 17:48, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add
unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review
the candidates and submit your choices on the
voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{

Some time ago, I removed all of the {{
hidden}} templates for translator lists in articles because that template straight up says in its documentation, Generally, collapsible templates should not be used in articles.
We've also been moving away from tables with excessive technical information on individual translators to this list format. This actually came up at the GAN of another TV station page.

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited KUTV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Newcastle.
If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Mvcg66b3r ( talk) 19:17, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
