Good Article
The 2010 Crown Royal Presents the Heath Calhoun 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on May 1, 2010 at Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. Contested over 400 laps, it was the tenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Kyle Busch for the Joe Gibbs Racing team. Jeff Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started seventh, clinched third. Pole position driver Kyle Busch maintained the lead after the start of the race. Kyle Busch would eventually lead to the race high of 226 laps. Afterward, Gordon became the leader during the final laps. He remained the leader until Kyle Busch passed him with four laps remaining. Kyle Busch crossed the finish line first to clinch his first win of the season, and his third at Richmond International Raceway. There were six caution flags and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race. The result moved Kyle Busch up two spots to third in the Drivers' Championship, 109 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and ten ahead of Matt Kenseth. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, eighteen points points ahead of Toyota and thirty ahead of Ford, with twenty-six races remaining in the season. I hope you are well. Somehow for me, the Giro just means "Wikipedia" so here I am. But I don't think I'll be able to help too much with coverage. I've got my own website now, as you may remember, and it's just starting to take off. I don't have the time nor dedication for Wiki anymore, and I doubt I ever will again. But you know, we'll see. I did this regularly for more than four a little over five years, so it's kind of in my blood.
I haven't really kept up too much with bicycling this season. Volleyball has been a greater sporting mistress than I ever could have imagined. Make no mistake though -- I am fulfilled and happy. I did manage to catch a little of the Tour of Turkey last month, and a couple stages of the Tirreno-Adriatico, but overall I haven't kept up with it. There's just something about the Giro, though.
Anyway, hope everything's going well for you. Keep up all the great work :) Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 07:32, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't see why the method used in 1989 or 2011 is the reference as to how this situation should be dealt with and can be considered automatically "the right method". Moreover, I find your comment stating the alternative is 'nonsense' a bit insulting. IMHO it makes much more sense to have an annulled stage appear more clearly and span it over all columns. When the stage is voided or neutralized (but the participants actually ride (part of) the course), then yes, the jerseys would stay. My two (non-)cents. Dick Trickle
Richard "Dick" Trickle (October 27, 1941 – May 16, 2013) was an American race car driver. He raced for decades around the short tracks of Wisconsin, winning many championships along the way. Trickle competed in the ASA, ARTGO, ARCA, All Pro, IMCA, NASCAR, and USAC. In more than an estimated 2,200 races, Trickle logged one million laps and is believed to have won over 1,200 feature races. He was billed as the winningest short track driver in history. Trickle's career highlights include racing to 67 wins in 1972, winning seven ARTGO Championships in nine years between 1979 to 1987, winning back to back ASA AC-Delco Challenge championships in 1984 and 1985, the 1968 USAC Stock Car rookie of the year, and winning the 1989 NASCAR Rookie of the Year award in what was then called the Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup). Trickle was nicknamed the "White Knight" as referenced by his sponsored SuperAmerica paint scheme, when he raced in Wisconsin. I saw your additions of the Category:FIA World Endurance Championship drivers, specifically to two people: Scott Tucker (racing driver) and Simon Dolan. I think I might have a problem with these two and more like them - Although they participated in an event on the FIA WEC schedule, namely Le Mans and Spa, they were never entrants in the series itself. Their participation was on an invitational basis. Extra entries are allowed in the FIA WEC, but unless you're a full season team, you're not really part of the FIA WEC in terms of points and championships. So I think a prerequisite for the category might be that one is actually participating in the series, and not simply participating in an event in the series. The359 ( Talk) 01:39, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, a
Good Article
The 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 20, 2010 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Contested over 110 laps, it was the sixteenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season and the first of two road course competitions on the schedule. The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, for the Hendrick Motorsports team. Robby Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started fourth, clinched third. Conditions were sunny at the start of the race, making the track potentially slippery. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner, but Johnson, who had started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Kahne suffered an ill- handling car during the beginning of the race, causing him to fall to seventh by the sixth lap. Seven laps before the finish, race leader Marcos Ambrose, turned his car off to try to save fuel, but he could not refire the engine and subsequently stalled. He dropped back from the lead to sixth place with seven laps remaining, allowing Kahne to finish fourth and Jeff Gordon fifth. There were eight cautions and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race, Johnson's fourth win of the season and his first ever at Infineon. The result moved him up four spots to second in the Drivers' Championship, 140 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and one ahead of Kyle Busch. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, nine points ahead of Toyota and forty-three ahead of Dodge, with twenty races remaining in the season. Hi there. Last year, you provided superb summaries of each day's racing in the stage by stage articles. Is this something you are planing to do this year? I've started the articles and will try to complete the "previews" tomorrow. It's a pity that, so far, no one has created the stage profiles on Commons. Also, the map of the route is not as good as last year's. Hopefully, someone will create a map in the same style as previous years. I'm off to catch three days racing next week - I'll be waving the Union Jack for Chris Froome and Cav. -- Daemonic Kangaroo ( talk) 16:16, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Hey Cs-wolves
I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).
So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.
What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.
The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.
Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 22:16, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi - I just edited Andrey Kashechkin to include an image in the infobox, and it's of him in Astana team colors, but is a six-year old image! There are, I think, five images of "Kash" in wikimedia commons we could draw on: the one Astana shot and then four Lampre pics. The Lampre ones are higher-resolution and one of them is quite well-composed imo, but of course Kash no ride for dem nomore! Can you help me on Kash's talk page discover consensus: should we use the old Astana image, or a nicer, newer Lampre image, even though he's not on Lampre anymore?
Let me know your thoughts! Grazie! Az x2 19:03, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Forget sexy football, Orient have developed the kind of football that everyone will be copying soon. *cough* Good result though, if a slightly hype-y Barry Hearn special fixture! That's actually pretty cool that Orient/Wolves falls on two prime dates. Either they received the cheque I sent them, or the fixture bureau expect us to be the top two this season. Who are we to disagree? ;) Bretonbanquet ( talk) 03:07, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Yes, if I had to put money somewhere, I'd put it on Chelsea at the moment. But I'm tight when it comes to betting! Those League One odds are interesting – I'd say MK Dons are worth a punt to go up, they're always there or thereabouts, and I feel that Shrewsbury will go down. The second season for clubs promoted from League Two is always tough. And for the JPT Paint Pot, we usually play our kids until we get towards the business end of the tournament (if we get that far) then we start taking it seriously. League Two sides sometimes take it a bit more seriously. Wolves might decide they want to spend every effort on getting back up, which is understandable. Orient have Coventry in the first round. Do we know where they're playing their home games yet? Bretonbanquet ( talk) 23:22, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Tim Richmond, a
good article
Tim Richmond (June 7, 1955 - August 13, 1989) was an American race car driver from Ashland, Ohio. He competed in IndyCar racing before transferring to NASCAR's Winston Cup Series (now Sprint Cup Series). Richmond was the first driver to change from open wheel racing to NASCAR stock cars, which has since become an industry trend. He won the 1980 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year award and had 13 victories during eight NASCAR seasons. Richmond achieved his top NASCAR season in 1986 when he finished third in points. He won seven races that season, more than any other driver on the tour. When he missed the season-opening Daytona 500 in February 1987, media reported that he had pneumonia. The infection most likely resulted from his compromised immune system, which had been weakened by AIDS. The disease would drastically shorten his life. Despite the state of his health, Richmond competed in eight races in 1987, winning two events and one pole position before his final race in August of that year. He attempted a comeback in 1988 before NASCAR banned him for testing positive for a banned substance. Richmond grew up in a wealthy family and lived a debauched lifestyle, earning him the nickname "Hollywood". In describing Richmond's influence in the sport of racing, Lowe's Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler said: "We've never had a race driver like Tim in stock car racing. He was almost a James Dean-like character." When Richmond was cast for a bit part in the 1983 movie Stroker Ace, "He fell right in with the group working on the film," said director Hal Needham. Cole Trickle, the main character in the movie Days of Thunder, played by Tom Cruise, was loosely based on Richmond and his interaction with Harry Hyde and Rick Hendrick. The 2010 Emory Healthcare 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on September 5, 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. Contested over 325 laps, it was the twenty-fifth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Tony Stewart, for the Stewart Haas Racing team. Carl Edwards finished second, and Jimmie Johnson, who started seventh, clinched third. Pole position driver Denny Hamlin maintained his lead on the first lap to begin the race, as Ryan Newman, who started in the second position remained behind him. Afterward, Newman became the leader. On lap 128, Hamlin had an engine failure, finishing forty-third. Later in the race Tony Stewart led a race high of seventy-five laps. Stewart retained the first position on a final restart to clinch his third win at Atlanta Motor Speedway. There were eight cautions and twenty-seven lead changes among nine different drivers throughout the course of the race. It was Tony Stewart's first win of the season and the thirty-eighth of his career. The result moved him up two spots to fourth in the Drivers' Championship, 283 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and fourteen ahead of Carl Edwards. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, thirty-two ahead of Toyota and sixty-six ahead of Ford, with eleven races remaining in the season. A total of 93,200 people attended the race, while 5.516 million watched it on television. I saw that! I'd have put money on Peterborough winning, but that's football. Orient have won their first five matches of a season for the first time ever, so we're celebrating. Maybe your lot will catch us, but not just yet ;) Bretonbanquet ( talk) 16:06, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

You're right, it is disturbing. Just where is the sport going, exactly? It's always been the case that drivers need some money to get into F1, but it's getting ridiculous. It used to be the Minardis of the world who would hire a Sirotkin, but Sauber are supposed to be a serious F1 team. Yes, Frijns seems to have been passed over, which is criminal. I hope some other team picks him up. The turbo era was fun, and the cars were bonkers. Much harder to drive in those days. Unreliability added a huge amount to the enjoyment with those engines. Even if someone was miles in front, you never took it for granted till he'd crossed the line. Not like now. Who wants to get up at 4am to see Vettel lead into the first corner and it's all over? While some other blokes play with their KERS and their DRS for a couple of hours to see who picks up the points? I'm ranting a bit, but you catch my drift ;) Bretonbanquet ( talk) 18:32, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
In the past, you've told me on the 2013_Ginetta_GT_Supercup_season page that Scottish, English, Welsh and Northern Irish drivers should only be identified with a British flag. Can you tell me why you have not changed the flags on the 2013_BTCC page where I see you have made several contributions?
Just wondering why the apparent inconsistency, or am I missing something?
Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul ss1 ( talk • contribs) 17:26, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

I see that you've restored my revert on the aforementioned page. My first glance was that the IP accidentally pressed "Save page" while attempting to add new information to the page, but I suppose this isn't the case now. hmssolent\ You rang? ship's log 02:21, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the cleanup work :) If it was a little more flattering (I want a better word, but don't have one), I'd recommend using the 2009 picture, since that's when she was most prevalent; however, it's a bit of an odd one xD Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 20:18, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for the edits you make clearing whitespace and stuff like dashes and so on. Just curious, do you check my edits/contributions for new pages to do that? I see a lot of pages being edited by you after i did. No offense or so, i just saw it the last week(s) and was always wondering. If so, i like it. ;) Keep it up! Can you help me complete missing informations in this article and this article? Banhtrung1 ( talk) 08:26, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
So that was the only way you could do it? To play a day before us? *sigh* how the mighty fall ;) You won't have that top spot for long (famous last words) so enjoy it while it lasts! Bretonbanquet ( talk) 21:21, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Article of the month –
2010 Emory Healthcare 500, a
Good Article
I was wondering why there have been so few updates to the NASCAR points as of late. By the way, the Chase is set. Truex was in on a 2nd place tiebreak. Gaeaman787 ( talk) 03:20, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
Not sure we can help you there! Six in a row... I'm sure you'll be very close behind when we slip up, you'll just have to wait a bit longer! ;) Bretonbanquet ( talk) 16:07, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2013 UCI Road World Championships – Men's team time trial may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
Thanks, BracketBot ( talk) 15:48, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
I thought that there is a guideline preventing to use flags on infoboxes, am I wrong? Osplace 14:11, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi mate, hope all is well. Yes I'm just waiting on the main, only two months. Great race overall, I caught stage seven, real nice to see the guys in the flesh. Sadly I got no pictures of quality. Looks like you've got some good shots there. Do you want to put them all under CC BY 3.0 and I'll go through and upload some? Bald Boris 20:33, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 UCI Road World Championships – Women's road race, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Belén López ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It looks like your set has been uploaded today. I've been a bit busy so it slipped my mind. Need to go through and sort the cats out still. How about Sunday's race then? Poor Purito, really felt for him. British team are a bunch of babies IMO. Bald Boris 23:04, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
