A page you created, Edwin Yearwood, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
Thank you. StaticGull Talk 13:57, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Adela Chu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact
one of these admins to request that they
userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.

I'd like to get your justification for speedy deleting Adela Chu. I'd like to reinstate her. She is the founder of the most important annual event the San Francisco Bay Area: Carnaval San Francisco. This event connects the Bay Area to our hemisphere culturally in ways that no other event or institution can claim. With your coding skills are you able to achieve unprecedented levels of wiping out hours of other people's work in seconds. Can you be so considerate as to provide me with an explanation or justification. (Cmcollins (talk) 12:15, 8 July 2009 (UTC))
Hi. I deleted this page because it makes no assertion of how or why the subject is notable - that is, it doesn't say why this person deserves a page on Wikipedia when there are billions of people who don't. This means it meets our criteria for speedy deletion, and was deleted.
If you wish to recreate the article, you can do so, but ensure you read the notability guidelines, verifiability policy and our policy on reliable sources before creating it, or it will almost certainly be deleted again. If you have any more questions, let me know on my talk page. Ale_Jrb talk 14:58, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Ale_jrb, You did put a generic boiler plate response that did not at all respond to my remarks above. You also seemed to indicate you'd render whatever further work I invested mute. Can you let me know why I as a rational person [e.g. my likelihood and path of an appeal to a higher authority] might be worth further investment of time on my part. The criteria for speedy deletion [1] specify the limited cases in which administrators may, at their discretion, bypass deletion discussion and immediately delete Wikipedia pages or media. These criteria describe the only cases where there is broad consensus supporting summary deletion of articles and other content. Deletion is reversible, but only by administrators, so other deletions occur only after discussion. Speedy deletion is intended to reduce the time spent on deletion discussions for articles with no practical chance of surviving discussion.
Administrators should take care not to speedy delete articles except in the most obvious cases. If a page has survived a prior deletion discussion, it should not be speedy deleted except for newly discovered copyright violations. Contributors sometimes create articles over several edits, so administrators should avoid deleting a page that appears incomplete too soon after its creation.
Anyone can request speedy deletion by adding one of the templates listed below. Before nominating an article for speedy deletion, consider whether it could be improved, reduced to a stub, merged or redirected elsewhere, reverted to a better previous revision, or handled in some other way. Users nominating a page for speedy deletion should specify which criteria the page meets, and should consider notifying the article creator and any major contributors.
The creator of a page may not remove a Speedy Delete tag from it. Only an editor who is not the creator of a page may do so. A creator who disagrees with the speedy deletion should instead add {{
hangon}}
to the page and explain the rationale on the page's
discussion page. To avoid speedy deletion, make sure that articles provide both content and context.

Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add

759 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{
