Your recent editing history at San Juan 21 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Ahunt ( talk) 01:06, 5 April 2023 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hello, I'm Ahunt. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to San Juan 21 have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. - Ahunt ( talk) 00:39, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply

You seem to be making a lot of subjective judgements about what is and isn't appropriate that don't meet wikipedia standards.
links to class websites are all over wikipedia, as witnessed by the pages for the Melges, Thunderbird, and Soling classes for just a couple. There are many more, so please stop making subjective removals. Cklamp75 ( talk) 00:46, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
These links violate the Wikipedia policy WP:ELNO which says: Except for a link to an official page of the article's subject, one should generally avoid providing external links to: ... 4. Links mainly intended to promote a website ... 19 Websites of organizations mentioned in an article. If there are sailboat articles that have them please let me know and I will remove them. If you keep trying to promote your club on Wikipedia you will get blocked for WP:SPAM. - Ahunt ( talk) 01:03, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
I've reached out to wikipedia, I'll deal with them directly
Your bias is clearly showing.
The link I added is a link to an official page around this articles subject, and the official page relating to it is even mentioned on this page. 24.18.184.88 ( talk) 01:09, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
The subject of the article is the San Juan 21, a sailboat design, not the club. The official page on the subject would be the manufacturer's page if there was one. The club is mentioned in the article text, because it is sourced to an independent third party reference, not the club's website. It is pretty clear that you are just trying to promote the club's website, which is specifically not allowed on Wikipedia. - Ahunt ( talk) 01:18, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
And yet, that's still standard across wikipedia for many one deisgn classes of which I've already mentioned.
I own an SJ21, I am not in a leadership position of any "club" you mention. Once again, you make inaccurate assumptions of my purpose which is only to improve the article, nothing more.
Your bias shows in each and every response. 24.18.184.88 ( talk) 01:22, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
I have checked those boats you mentioned above and there are no class club links. If you find more let me know and I will remove them as per WP:ELNO. Please do post when you hear back from Wikipedia. - Ahunt ( talk) 01:28, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
I can only assume you're blind then with that response, or completely unserious about this. I checked them earlier today and there absolutely are class association web sites all over the.
Your bias is clear. 24.18.184.88 ( talk) 01:31, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
Bias against what? Spamming? Perhaps I missed the article you meant, since you did not give any links. I did check all the Melges boats: A Scow, C Scow, E Scow, M-16 Scow, MC Scow, Melges 20, Melges 14, Melges 15, Melges 17, Melges 24, Melges 30, Melges 32, Melges 40, O'Pen Skiff, X Boat, Soling and the Thunderbird 26 (there was one link that I cleaned there but that article is a mess and needs a complete rewrite). The others had only external links to the manufacturer's webpages, not any class clubs. Please feel free to post the links here I may have missed and I will be happy to fix them. And rather that carry on these endless personal attacks, please have a read of WP:NPA. - Ahunt ( talk) 01:40, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
Like I said, your bias is showing. Your response are plainly disingenuous. I'm in contact with wikipedia and will take it up with the dispute resolution team whenever I have time.
You're not being genuine in your actions here, that is quite clear. 24.18.184.88 ( talk) 01:43, 25 April 2023 (UTC) reply
