Speedy deletion nomination of CitiIntl

A tag has been placed on CitiIntl, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?

I'm a bit lost and need help. I want to write and post an article about the offshore industry in belize with a focus on the first offshore company that was formed in the country - Cititrust International Inc. Because this is new, I did a test run with basic information to see how it will work out.... before I post my main article which is very long. It's actually a research paper I'm doing as part of my Master's program (Finance & Financial Law).
Somehow it came out like an advertisement.... I guess because I didn't read all the guidelines thoroughly. Can I delete the Profile "CitiIntl" completely and ask your assistance creating a qualified profile, with postings of objective articles/research papers I'm doing and have done about offshore and financial services in Belize? I'd like to make reference to this company since their information is easily accessible for me right now as well as have links on each page to get feedback on it from readers?
I await your prompt reply and please fwd emails to my personal e-mail address (<redacted>) and not the one listed on the CitiIntl profile. Thanks

- If by "profile" you mean a Wikipedia user account, you can either request a change of username as described above, or simply abandon this account and set up a new one, with a username which does not appear to be that of an organization - because Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them.
- But I am not sure Wikipedia is suitable for what you want to do. Wikipedia is not a place to publish your "very long" Masters research thesis - as an encyclopedia, what we look for is summaries of material which has already been published in reliable sources. Read WP:No original research, which is one of our three key content policies, the others being WP:Verifiability, which also requires that "readers can check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source" and WP:Neutral point of view. Note in particular that collating material from published sources to advance a position not explicitly stated by any of the sources, which is the whole object of many student or research papers, is considered to be WP:SYNTHESIS and comes under the No original research policy.
- I hope this is not too discouraging, but it would be a pity to let you put a lot of work into something that would get deleted. Read the WP:Five pillars and the guide to writing WP:Your first article, as well as the links above, and also the guideline on WP:Notability which describes the principal way of deciding whether an article subject is suitable, and the rather long list of WP:What Wikipedia is not, which is how we try to remain an encyclopedia. Even if this is not the place for your main thesis, it may well be possible for you to contribute usefully in this area.

- There is another point I should have made above: no one owns a Wikipedia article; once posted, other users can and will edit it. You can prepare an article in your user space (though even there some things, such as copyright material or advertisements, are not permitted) but once posted in the encyclopedia it may be edited by anyone. Disagreements about content should be resolved by discussion on the article talk page, or if that fails to reach consensus by use of the WP:Dispute resolution procedure, but no one can insist on maintaining a particular version.
