Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Zach Edey, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. As he is Canadian, we use the Canadian spelling "centre" per MOS:TIES. — Bagumba ( talk) 04:44, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
Hi ChillyWilly824! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of
Zach Edey several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the
edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Zach Edey, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. — Bagumba ( talk) 18:29, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in LeBron James. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Specifically, links are generally not repeated per MOS:REPEATLINK. — Bagumba ( talk) 12:36, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Dwight Powell. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please establish consensus for an exception before making more widespread spelling changes to multiple pages counter to MOS:TIES. — Bagumba ( talk) 12:40, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
These players are Canadian and that’s the spelling. Spelling in articles is dictated by the subject’s country of origin. It seems you disagree with that, but you can’t just go around changing stuff you don’t like. If you want start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Basketball Association, but going against site-wide consensus rarely happens Rikster2 ( talk) 19:00, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
