Hi there. Since you voted on this AfD, BillC and I have posted some further analysis of the whole "media equations" phenomenon - I was wondering if you'd mind having a look at it and commenting again at the AfD. Personally I don't think that a couple of days' press coverage during the silly season automatically makes something notable, especially when the exercise had more to do with getting publicity for Skoda than solving important mathematical problems. I wonder if I've done enough to persuade you? Best, Iain99 12:28, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Carlos, I submitted my thoughts about the Propane link I had listed to the discussion page, as per your direction. Let me know if you have any feedback about it. Thanks, Matt Mtt124 22:53, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Carlos, What do you know about propane? You've been terribly quick to offer advice and correction. You give me advice and when followed, you are the only one to respond...with different advice. I understand you are a big wig here but I'd like to offer something that will help visitors and not be subject to your editorial formalities. I understand quality content and the need for presentable information but if you deem my additions against the rules or insignificant...I stand corrected. But I'm quite certain my experience within the propane industry, as well as my reputation allow me some authority on the subject. By all means, I'm simply trying to help. I'd love to make badly needed corrections to the propane article but I'm not going to do it just so you can delete it. If you need my resume, I'll happily provide it. Dearest Carlosguitar,
Thank you for your participation in
my RFA, which closed successfully with 96 supports, 1 oppose, and 3 neutrals. No matter if you !voted support, oppose, neutral, I thank you for taking the time to drop by. I'm a new admin remember, so if you have any suggestions feel free to inform me of them. I would like to give a special shout out to
Hirohisat,
Wizardman, and
Husond, for there original co-nominations. Thank you once again and good day.
This RFA thanks was inspired by Phaedriel's RFA thanks. So unfortunatly this is not entirely my own design.
Carlos, I see that you have done a tremendous amount of work on Parkour and Freerunning pages. In the past, I have added a link to American Parkour when other links were present. I think that you will see that I was an original contributor to the Parkour article, and I was actually interviewed by the original creator of the article to get much of the original content.
I can agree that adding a link to APK may seem to be point of view oriented, however there are really only 3-4 large websites for Parkour and freeruning, so I don't feel that having a link to APK is biased in any way, APK is in fact an important part of the Parkour and Freerunning world.
I have refrained from making any edits to these articles for quite some time as they have clearly turned to flame wars, in my opinion they are no longer even factual, and there are too many people trying to add / edit them who have no idea what they're talking about.
In any event, if you could let me know why you now don't feel there should be links on the freerunning page (the links have gone undisturbed for a very long time) I would appreciate it.
Im afraid I don't understand what makes someone qualified to edit these pages or take an active moderation role, so forgive me if my comments are misplaced.
Thanks, M2 68.50.111.10 23:47, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi. You tagged this image for speedy deletion with a rationale I'm assuming is copyright infringement. The image, though, is listed as having a GFDL license, so I'm a little confused. If you have reason to believe that the uploader is not the creator, that's fine, but could you please elaborate what led you to that conclusion? It's not entirely clear to me, and I don't want to perform a hasty deletion. Natalie 15:12, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
(unindentint) I never said I watched the video (I was not in a place where watching a video online would have been appropriate). I was saying I saw the link, although I can understand how that may have not been clear. My apologies for that - I saw that you linked to YouTube, but what you meant by that was not originally obvious. However, I never said I thought it was a true free image: if you reread my first post you will see that I said that if you believe that the uploader was not actually the creator of the work, could you please explain why. The whole reason I contacted you was because I thought you probably had a reason for tagging the image as you did and simply wanted to know what led you to the conclusion that the image was not free. I absolutely understand and agree with your reasoning. What I am asking is for you, in the future, to make this obvious when you tag the image, which is why I suggested the specific G12 tag. I am also saying that, in the case where the uploader has tagged something as being their own work (through the GFDL template or the pd-self template) it is probably good to explain why you don't believe that it is actually their work. Why do you keep deleting my edits on the "citations" page? The fact is this: if it is the same phrase, on the same page, it should NOT have to be cited twice. An illustration example can be seen here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/ShinyHubCaps/Example.png
A real-life example can be seen on the page for Michael Redd.(cite1) You'll have to go to the history page, but a huge war of edits is there. In it, some user wanted to cite the usage of Michael Redd's nicknames, but he was putting references (and one of them wasn't even relevant) in the infobox. So, I deleted those and took the ones out of the infobox. A different user then put the same citations in the infobox and left the other ones, which were in the trivia section. I deleted those, reasoning that the infobox is an overview of the article; he retorted, saying that the infobox needs references, forgetting that the citations were right there on the same page. I reasoned that you don't cite date of birth, college, draft position, etc. in the infobox, so why nicknames? I also provided a very reasonable stipulation in both my Talk page and the discussion page. A month later, he comes back, reverting my edits and asking that I provide him with Wikipedian literature to prove my point.
Then it occurred to me: there isn't any. I tried to post it myself, but it was outdone by edits and reverts. Now how is it possible that the same info needs to be cited at both occurrences in the same article? For further definition of my problem, a good example is on the Michael Redd page.(cite1)
In fact, I just did an example in this post. Look at the spots that say (cite1)... that is your proposal, that we cite the same information at every occurrence in A SINGLE ARTICLE. Now I know repition of a phrase is discouraged in the first place, but the continuity between the Infobox and the article should count as well.
Please clear this up to me, because it seems pretty suspect for a quality-standards specialist to make this mistake. ShinyHubCaps 00:36, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Mr Carlosguitar,
Good morning/evening....
It puzzled me why you deleted my article regarding the New Jersey Highlanders...??????
I created it only to help sports fans (especially Basketball fans) find out more about new relatively unknown NCAA Division 1 sports teams. Also, if you type in "Highlanders" in Wikipedia, you would see it refers to at least a few tens of different teams/items/publications etc.... There are altogether 9 definitions for sports not including New Jersey Highlanders...
Don't it think it is appropriate to add the tenth sports entry to make this incomplete encyclopedia complete?..... besides the Radford Highlanders, which also competes at NCAA Division 1 level has an entry too....
I also observed that many high schools have their sports team name in Wikipedia too.....isn't it only appropriate that an NCAA Division I sports team that has been invited to play in year 2007 pre-season NIT gets some documenting here too....? —Preceding unsigned comment added by FabianEng ( talk • contribs) 18:20, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I was the creator of an article you recently discussed and deleted [1]. Whatever your reasons for supporting the deletion, I do not think it overly polite to summarily remove it without so much as a note on my talk page to let me know. An AfD discussion is only a discussion if there is more than one point of view being expressed - and since no attempt was made to contact me it was impossible for me to provide the evidence you sought. Please bear this in mind when completing AfDs in future. Onesecondglance 08:27, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

What is the deal with the External Links section. I have seen multiple links keep being deleted for a unknown reason. Why have an External Links section if you don't want any External Links? The ones that are on there are not referenced anywhere in the articles, but they get to stay on there. Such as Australian Parkour, search the page for anything that has Australia in it, there isnt. And now for some reason someone deleted the Urban Free Flow,American Traceurs, NEPK, WeShow links etc.,and the Urban Free Flow link has been on there a long time. This sport struggles enough to become known and recognized. Don't try to regulate the exposure to this sport by deleting things that are not defacing the sport but trying to make it more known. Dear Carlos,
I was shocked to see my carefully crafted Triton Troupers Circus entry speedily deleted by you.
I was trying to create a basic entry about a non-profit/volunteer-based local circus that's now in its 37th year. I'm a long-time Wikipedia user, and thoroughly read the posting guidelines, and based my entry on other similar existing entries, hence my surprise.
Big problem is that the entry was nearly an hour of thoughtful composition. Never imagining it would be so capriciously deleted I didn't keep a copy. I wish you'd simply contacted me first.
So...
1. Can you send me the deleted entry for revision?
2. Can you tell me what you need me to change?

The user "Amorphous" has been given permission directly from me to put this image into Wikipedia. I also understand that the various Free Usage statements have been complied with. But for some reason they are then removed.
If for some reason the wikipedia programming won't allow this material to be published, can you please recify it. As a user of Wikipedia, I'd like to point out that it's pretty confusing to create any new article.
If you have any further questions regarding the free usage of CelticaLogo.JPG please contact me at bill@celticaradio.com or info@celticaradio.com. But please either stop removing the image or fix the fault which is causing it to be put up for deletion, as this is automated vandalism!

Hi!
It's a well-known fact that Leo Fender sold Fender to CBS in 1965. It's also well known that Harold Rhodes had designed the piano many years before he contacted Fender to help him manufacture ans sell the pianos in 1959. Leo fender stated he didn't like the piano, but allowed a PianoBass to be made. After he sold to CBS, the Rhodes division ( as well as the Rogers and fender divisions) were separated so from then on there was no association whatsoever between Leo and Rhodes. Nine years later a certain Bob Bull at CBS suggested thet tha pianos really should be named only "Rhodes". This was the reason that I stated the change as correct, and also the reason it's well documented in what's officially written about the Rhodes piano. Had the name change been done right away, nobody would about anything called FenderRhodes, since it's popularity took off around 1970.

Hope this clears things up for you. I'm the author of the Rhodes History and the Rhodes Supersite is run by me and James Garfield since 11 years. I also knew Harold Rhodes and I'm a well known Rhodes historian in the Rhodes community.
What do you base your change on? Harold had a lousy deal, and had a hard time with Mr.Fenders attitude towards the instrument. Among us who love and care for the instrument, ( including members of the Rhodes family and people who worked with Harold at the factory ) it's the general opinion that so much more could have happened if Mr.fender hadn't been so stubborn and greedy. ( which I of course don't think should be mentioned in the article )
I'd be happy if the statement could be correct about this and that this sheds some light on why. All the best Frederik Adlers freddan@fenderrhodes.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.138.116.230 ( talk) 23:32, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Carlos, you have completely the wrong idea about me. I have no idea what your objection is, because the things of which you accuse me are simply not true. Either you're failing to understand me or I can't understand you. I assume English is not your native language? Or perhaps you speak a patois or foreign dialect? Because your grammar is difficult to decipher, and I fear you may be encountering similar problems with my arguments.
I continue to believe we share similar goals here; your continual arguments against me are both perplexing and disappointing.

My name is Bill Everatt, Managing Director of Celtica Radio Ltd. I note that you have been removing a FREELY distrubtable image that illustrates my radio station on Wikipedia.

Here's some reading : http://www.fenderrhodes.com/history/narrative.php and http://www.fenderrhodes.com/history/timeline.php

The user Maragos ( User_talk:Maragos) has vandalised the parkour article again. He blanked the whole page and wrote "Gay sport" in it's place, but I am not shure what warning level I should gieve him because your warning was in october. Could you please help me clear this issue? Thanks in advance. (Take a look at the page history of Parkour) Pseudoserpent ( talk) 20:16, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
