Thanks for the offer of help. It's appreciated. I would love to see Tech as 2008 Big 12 Champions. I think there's a shot. the article being quoted currently is slanted one way.
here is another account from usatoday that is supported with multiple sources countering the contention: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/draft/2006-03-01-young-wonderlic_x.htm
here is one statement: "The NFL did its best to silence talk about Young's test. Combine officials said the score of 6 was inaccurate. Titans GM Floyd Reese said he'd heard the first test had been administered or graded incorrectly. Texans GM Charley Casserly also disputed Young's score Sunday, saying it was inaccurate."
but here is the countering statement: "ProFootballTalk.com broke the story of Young's score Sunday, and several NFL scouts confirmed it. Any score less than 15 is extremely low for a quarterback, and most teams want players at that position to score at least a 20."
so, on one hand, you have several NFL scouts saying one thing and verifying. on the other hand, you have the NFL and the titans saying another. now, it doesn't seem unclear what is going on here. the NFL and titans are attempting to portray young in the best light possible as a future NFL 'star'. it sounds like they quickly had him retest to avoid embarassment. the retest was taken the next day.
in any event, to display only the one angle on this is not serving the truth.
respectfully,

Thanks for uploading Image:Texas_AMU_logo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC). I happened to have caught that same article earlier today and was thinking about the discussion we had about Reggie McNeal's status with the Argos last year.
That's is very interesting! His name is not listed anywhere on the Argos' roster page
Perhaps they have some sort of agreement in principle for McNeal to report to training camp ... maybe his status with the team is something that's gone unnoticed because of how far down the QB chart this guy is, I'm not sure!
As I said to you before, the Argos' transaction page is very lax ... and at times, so is their roster page (though not as bad as the transaction page IMO)! As such, I can never really gauge every single transaction that this team does based on the info they provide! I guess we'll have to stay tuned and see what transpires in June when the CFL training camps commence! If he is there as a fourth QB, I'll see if I can get an answer to McNeal's status between November til training camp by asking around with some of the Argo personnel there! I really do disagree with your premise that listing every year would confuse wikipedia readers. Given that schools typically like to list (they are usually listed in the media guide) every year they reach a certain round in the NCAAs, I do believe that the only advantage your idea holds is that it saves space. Obviously, with a program like Kansas' there are many years to list and the infobox can get quite long. I have looked up several other school's men's basketball programs on wikipedia and have found in some cases that every year they reached a particular round, the year is listed, regardless of whether or not that was the highest round they reached. Only NCAA and Pre-tournament National Championship banners, Final Four banners, and Conference Championship banners are hung in Allen Fieldhouse. This is not true for a programs such as Kansas State's. Bramlage Coliseum, has banners for all conference championships, NCAA appearances, and each year the Wildcats reached a round, regardless of whether or not they finished the season in that particular round. I have found this to be the case at many other Big 12 basketball venues that I have visited personally.
As a fan of Kansas basketball, obviously I have no problem viewing lists of our storied history, however I do not have any interest in an edit war either.
Many thanks for your considerations —Preceding unsigned comment added by Demoares ( talk • contribs) 02:27, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, that text is not correct; it is exactly the text before it was modified to remove the incorrect statement. The Big 8 Conference changed its name to the Big 12 when teams from the Southwest Conference (SWC) joined it after the SWC folded in the 1990s. The Big 12 is the same conference as the Big 8 conference; only the name changed. Since Kansas won a national title representing the Big 8 in 1988, it is incorrect to say that the conference has never won before. Would you please revert your edit. I prefer not to get into an edit war. Thanks. Truthanado ( talk) 03:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I got addicted to wikipedia again. I think I have done what I set out to accomplish, improve the Texas page. I figured i'd ask around for some fresh eyes to go over it. I am going to take a break for a month or so, so take your time. After that I am thinking about getting it to GA or maybe even FA standards. Cya Oldag07 ( talk) 04:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
