I noticed that you removed a prod from an unreferenced BLP here. Just wanted to let you know that all new BLPs must now have a reference otherwise they should be prodded, no matter how notable they appear. The prod should not be remo for example, Andy Fallis, Ettienne Brits and the like, I now understand the difference between those which pass CRIN and which do not.

Hold the presses! Latest news from our Dutch editor - Voorburg moved from Duivesteijn a few years ago, and the ground is now no longer in use. Hi AA. See the usual place for the latest playground behaviour. He's tried to have another go at you as well as me. Sticks and stones, of course, and quite pathetic. Dweller spotted it on his watchlist and immediately applied a long-term block.

Daft must be a very sad and bitter individual to carry on a grudge like this for such a long time. When I was on SPI I looked at his original talk page and he's been at it for nearly four years on and off. Have a look at the post that was sent by one of his former ACS committee colleagues in Jan 2008. I reckon you only need to substitute "WP guidelines" for "schedules agreed with the printers" and it could have been written today. He's still on the ego trip and I just love the one about how his "distinguished expert" pals evidently don't reciprocate: at least two of them were on that committee! But I think the key point is that Daft "likes nothing more than to confront anyone who does not agree with his singular version of events and undoubtedly he will insist that everything written above is either false or unfair". Nail on the head.

I think it might also be worth looking at Repolemis ( talk ⁺ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser( log) · investigate · cuwiki) who was on the Staffordshire CCC page immediately before the IP and again seems to have been "correcting" your work. I don't have any strong views about North v South players. The match did have more prestige in Victorian times than in the 20th century because they tended to feature the best players around (unlike GvP which featured WG and the best 11 pros around) but it wasn't a series. The games were organised ad hoc, even though they were sometimes held three times in a season. As long as the matches were first-class, there can be no problem in adding the category to players who took part. The purpose of categories is to help readers find relevant articles; they are not there to provide some exclusive list or define an elite. I don't pretend to be an expert, I do it as a time killing hobby for a sport I am completely obsessed with, were it not for these nice things one I could have played professionally. I simply create articles, make a body of writing, yes out of CricketArchive stats, as well as anything else I can find. Any more detailed information that needs to be added can be done so by people who have the adequate resources. At 21 I expect myself and User:Bobo192 are the youngest people at WP:CRIC, so obviously in my case I don't have the resources in books or what not to make good articles, which is why I tend to steer clear of expanding the articles of my favourite cricketers like Mead, Kennedy and Newman. As for categories, I dispute they are inaccurate - they're meant to exist as a means of collating articles that link to a main subject. If CA says the match is first-class in terms of N v S, then I shall add the category. I am always going through articles and removing inaccurate categories (players who never played for the team, or whose appearance was at a minor level). Apology accepted, as I too shall apologise for my short fuse earlier. Being unemployed certainly is no fun, particularly when there are literally no jobs in my area - unlike others, I do not believe in social welfare, so you have no worry about your taxes funding my writing of articles as I don't claim a penny. Your request led me to have a look at your user page and I noticed the pictures of prominent politicians who you allege are controlled by some group (sorry, I've forgotten its name). Hi AssociateAffiliate, firstly let me thank you for acting on the issue I raised, I asked you here because policy encourages us to raise concerns with each other and your response demonstrates why that is desirable – potential problems are addressed simply and quietly without drama – so well done. Let me offer some friendly advice by noting a couple of points you might want to bear in mind for the future (apologies if I'm saying things you already know):

• It is a commmon misconception that the WP:BLP policy applies only to articles that are biographies; in fact, it applies in all spaces (article, talk, user, WP, etc.) and to anything concerning a living person.
• The admin community (based on my observations, I am not an admin myself) includes a significant group who are hyper-vigilant and aggresive about BLP issues, and "shoot first, then carpet bomb with nuclear weapons, then ask questions" is not unknown as an approach to resolving perceived problems. It might not be fair, but treading extra carefully around BLP issues is the safer way to go, and maintains your credibility for when you need to discuss the inclusion of critical material about living persons.
• From my perspective, the big issue with your user page section was not the criticism of living people but the presentation of opinion as if it were fact. You wrote that those people were controlled by the Bilderberg group, which raises a serious BLP issue. Had you written that you believe the Bilderberg group is too influential, and that it's influence extends to persons X, Y, and Z, then that would have been much less problematic (at least from my perspective). Of course a statement like that would be unacceptable in article space without reliable sourcing and consideration of due weight, etc, but there is more leeway allowed in user space. Note that I wouldn't be surprised if others disagreed with me on this view.
• Short version of the above, criticism is ok when presented as opinion and recognising that others may disagree; criticism presented as assertions of unsupported fact is not ok, and most especially when it is directed at living people.

The article had been moved from AfC to mainspace (by me) only a few minutes before you proposed it for deletion! At the end of the day its some actors having a jolly - its not real cricket, mention that they have the odd jolly in their articles, but their cricket and this tournament is in a cricketing sense absolutely non-notable: no matter how many sources are collected from it. I'd be interested to know what part of Wikipedia's guidance you are using when you make the judgement that certain types of media hype are non-notable? Hi AssociateAffiliate, just because of can find no mention of him on Cricinfo or CricketArchive (I personally don't think that no article or web site can be 100% correct and perfect) doesn't mean that Carl Didn't play first-class cricket as the article states. He did play for the then Ceylon team so as his school mate Ashley Silva (but I couldn't find relevant articles to prove Ashley's). His school is Nalanda College Colombo and check details here Battle of the Maroons. So many other articles can't be wrong about Carl. Hope you understand the situation. You haven't gotten my point:

• Nalanda has never been a first-class team - Nalanda College Colombo is only the school where Carl attended. Nalanda is not a club but a high school in Sri Lanka.
• The Nondescripts Cricket Club didn't play a first-class match until 1989 - may be right, but Carl was playing cricket for this club.
• In all likelihood Carl never featured in a major match! - do not agree. then below articles that mentions about Carl, too will have to be proved wrong:

This guy went on a spree of creating articles about himself, pretending to be an Indian cricketer throughout the first half of 2011. He created at least 20 articles, using the same picture each time. One memorable creation said "In July 2011 Terry Jenner described Ravi as one of the best spin bowlers in the world". Seems the guy in the picture was having a séance of some kind with Jenner (who had died in May), though for his greatness at spotting talent, this guy wasn't one of them! Sent to Admin - just look at JM's user history(1000 or so edits worth). If you still disagree then I'd been surprised. Sorry to come back but this is a blatant sockpuppet for God's sake. Pleae note the attacks made on Golden Age of Cricket by BJ and Cricket 1940-44 by JM - they are as plain as possible. Can we please have action regarding Jim Hardie who is a blatant sockpuppet of Blackjack. Evidence - Jim Hardie has made over a hundred edits to pre=1800 cricket since 18th Feb whem user Blackjack 'retired'. No other editor has made these type of edits except Blackjack - these being tidying of references etc. He has attacked the entries of another editor using the same language, the same phrases, the same inside knowledge that was used when Blackjack was previously identified as an aggressive sockpuppet some time ago. He has used 'pretend' conversations between himself and Blackjack in a manner seen previously when he was using BartMaverick, Orrelly Man, JamesJJames sockpuppets. To summarise - Hardie has been active since Blackjack went silent - he edits the same esoteric edits using the same turns of phrase - attacks other editors in the same manner and has used similar expresions found on the Blackjack Midnight Rambler and Stumpsite website. Would then take the opportunity to say that HK played in ODIs between 2004 and 2008 and that during that time 20 players represented their country. This will also make sure you don't use the full version after you've abbreviated it. - Done

A flying visit but I'd like to say hello. Don't believe anything the idiot says and revert anything he inputs even if it's bona fide now he's got a ban instead of a mere block. All the best and I hope to find time to come back in a few months or perhaps next year.
