I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

- Hi, I don't know what you need to help with but if it is the article which was nominated for speedy deletion, you can avoid its deletion by placing {{hang on}} in top of it, it seems that there is copyright violation in your article. Petrb ( talk) 16:26, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm happy for the page to be edited/reviewed by Wikipedia - the wording is the same as on the CeRch website because I wrote both - I was updating what became of the Arts and Humanities Data Service. Also trying to change my username but managed to put in a request now - I'm new to all this!

Ok ... so what should I do? Wikipedia has a Digital Humanities Centers category page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Digital_Humanities_Centers - and at the moment we are the only one in the UK that is not listed, although others at King's College London are, as well as some of our projects. - I understand that you may have written the material at Centre for e-Research, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean the material can be copied to a Wikipedia article. Assuming you wrote the material on behalf of King's College, it is now on their website. They have a copyright notice (which isn't even required, they would still have copyright without it).

- Hello there, I'm going to delete the userpage where you started the draft of your article because as Sphilbrick points out above, we can't accept copyright material - even from its author! What I'd suggest is that you start a page in your user space here (click red link to start the page) User:Icantfindit/cerchdraft. You will have to rewrite what you want to say, I'm afraid, to make it different to the text from your own website. Try using an article from one of the other centres as a model. Do also have a look at this article on conflict of interest in Wikipedia. You are not absolutely barred from writing about your own organisation but you do need to be open about this, and careful. If I can be of any help reply here and I or another fellow-editor will pick it up. I do understand that this seems mindlessly bureaucratic but the systems do make sense and are there for a reason. Regular editors will apply the rules strictly, as I am, but will also try and be genuinely helpful to new contributors acting in good faith, so don't be afraid to ask! - Glad you're not put off by the red tape! When you're ready, make a start on the article in the userspace page that I linked for you above, and if you want help leave a note here on on any of our talk pages. I have no doubt the Centre is notable, you just need the references to prove it. For example I found thiswhich is great as it's an entirely independent article from a news organisation. this one isn't bad as it's from a reliable external source, even though the author is from King's. If you can find more sources to cite there will be no problem and I'll be happy to help drafting too so you can avoid the COI worries of drafting alone. I guess you have a file of newspaper clippings etc (they don't have to be available on the www though that helps of course) and that will be a great place to start. Good luck!
