After doing some more research on finding independent sources, I decided to explore the ones previously listed in the stub article. By looking at these sources, I am now confident that I can add meaningful information to the stub article. To make my contribution academic in nature, I plan on writing about the seven layers of polarization that Maui Jim lenses provide in addition to how these layers affect one's eyes. This will go under a technology section within my article. I will also include a history portion to my article. This will include the story of how Maui Jim went from a resort sunglass loaning program to an international corporation. I am excited to do more research and build upon a page that I am passionate about.
