Welcome!

Hello, Abdulquadir14, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Jalpaiguri have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

No photographs?

I noticed some of your edits, particularly to the Fakiragram page. I think you are having problems in adjusting to addition of reliable references. If you want to continue in Wikipedia you will have to add reliable sources for verification by other editors. Everything added to Wikipedia must be verifiable. Another point I want to add is: Why don't you add photographs. Fakiragram is a beautiful place. You seem to be living in that area. Can I expect one/two photographs from you? The importance of sources

Hello Abdulquadir. Although I noticed that you have received various warnings, those are short standard templates, so I will try to explain why your edits were reverted. The encyclopedia's text should be summaries of reliable sources ( WP:RS) and cannot contain our own original research or synthesis ( WP:OR, WP:SYNTH). You were also warned for making personal attacks; discussions on Wikipedia should indeed be about the content and sources rather than about the editors ( WP:TPO and WP:REVTALK for more information). Exceptions are at personal user pages (like this one) and at administrator noticeboards when it is necessary to report a user account for disruptive editing ( WP:ANI). Editing is a privilege, not a right and it is important to work towards WP:CONSENSUS and avoid "edit warring" ( WP:3RR). I suggest to participate at the discussion at the bottom of the Talk:Kolkata talk page, that another editor opened for you. I hope this helps a bit. Please be patient (there is no deadline for article improvements), and happy editing, — Paleo Neonate17:41, 18 September 2019 (UTC) reply
