I can understand how you might think that I am not a major candidate, so you deleted me (citing no press coverage). I have filled out the paperwork and it has been received by the Calif. Secretary of State. I am also, the only Republican to have that honor. But, when press coverage is given and cited, you adjust the line further, saying that CSUF's newspaper is not good enough. Where does the line in the sand get drawn next? Must I get the nomination to prove it? Maybe I should win. Maybe that would be good enough.... Furthermore, why didn't you delete the guy on the Democrat side (Aguirre), he didn't have any press coverage? If you're going to edit Wiki, then be consistant. Don't delete me because of your bias.

I've been asked to update/correct the Orange Coast College Wikipedia entry by campus administration. Thus far, I've corrected the founding date 1947 noting its first classes opening in fall 1948, and I've added certificates of achievement degrees. However, I have major changes to make to the history section and, as a new Wikipedia contributor, do this with a fair degree of apprehension.
In order to correct the history, I will need to greatly expand it due to references made by the original contributor. I will also need to strike a good portion of the original entry under the history heading. My references are online portions of the Orange Coast College historical publication, Tumbleweeds to Roses, and portions of the Orange Slices Archives. Tumbleweeds to Roses was written by founding faculty/staff members, and the Orange Slices columns were written by Jim Carnett, who recently retired after serving 37 years as OCC's Director of Community Relations.
My initial question is, considering the size of my anticipated edit, how do I request preliminary peer review of these changes prior to posting?
I have noted your multiple contributions to this page and thought you may be able to provide some guidance.-- Fanny Campbell ( talk) 06:00, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

I think this is relevant to Steven McQueen's page. The article says that McQueen sought unconventional treatment but has casted a bad light on it. If fact, years later, it is shown to have success.
Of note, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez ( http://www.dr-gonzalez.com ) has been treating cancer patients much better than conventional doctors. In recognition of your defense of Wikipedia's policies in the face of an onslaught of new editors on Rice University-related pages. Madcoverboy ( talk) 02:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC) |
You previously edited articles related to residential colleges at Rice University. There is an RFC on the notability of residences at colleges and universities. A consensus test has been posted to evaluate what, if any consensus, has been reached on the issue. Please go and comment at: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#Consensus test. Re: Susan B. Neuman California State University alumni link to new wiki article. Thanks for redirecting me to CSU Eastbay alumni section instead of the California State University site. The Notable Alumni section I created on there was deleted anyway. I am not certain why, as I am a newbie to the WIKI community. Just figuring out the ropes. Thanks again for your assistance! An active Rice-affiliated editor ( AniRaptor2001) came around and saw the light and he and I finished merging all the Rice University residential colleges into Residential colleges of Rice University. However, the natives are getting restless again on talk and I would welcome any input you had so that its not a situation of everyone vs. me. Madcoverboy ( talk) 03:21, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
There appears to be an influx of new users editing University of San Francisco-related pages. If it's a class project, it was not announced on WP:SUP. I'd appreciate it if you could keep your anti-vandal eagle eyes on the article over the next few days to see what develops. Madcoverboy ( talk) 22:17, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
The personal control Stormrider is exherting over "Mormonism and Christianity" page is based on his own personal beliefs. He is one of the reasons that wikipedia is a joke. If you try to make additions that he does not personally agree with then he just removes them. He does not add meaningful interaction concerning the disputed addition. Wikipedia will be a distortion of the discussion as long as people like him run roughshod over it. 74.203.158.34 ( talk) 16:55, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

The multiple reverts of changes made at West Ridge Academy appear to be in direct violation of WP:3RR, which can result in a block for these actions. Alansohn ( talk) 17:01, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
A content dispute at St. John's University (New York) between an IP editor and a registered editor with a potential conflict of interest has gotten a bit out of hand and devolved into personal attacks, outing, and general nastiness. A 24-hour page protection has been imposed, but I'm requesting that other editors intervene to develop a consensus on the dispute while the protection is in place. A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/WestRidgeAcademy, and indicate whether you agree or disagree to mediation. If you are unfamiliar with mediation on Wikipedia, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. Please note there is a seven-day time limit on all parties responding to the request with their agreement or disagreement to mediation. Thanks, DoyleCB ( talk) 18:23, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I have compiled (on the talkpage) a short list of university-pages without notable alumni sections... because they, like Mason, lack notable alumni. 173.66.36.76 ( talk) 17:04, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi, there! Thanks for moving the talk section to the end of the page, but I've given up. It's just not worth my time to argue with an anonymous editor who's angry because he/she has been "affiliated with Tulane for 10+ years" and never bothered to look at the seal. If you want, of course, feel free to jump in yourself; I've heard great thinks about your work with UNI, so I trust you to do what you think is best! -- King of the Arverni ( talk) 19:51, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
It seems that you are intrested in San Bernardino and the Inland Empire (California) area. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Inland Empire and join if you like. Can you explain why the bank information on the Ridgecrest, California page was deleted? I updated the AltaOne link and whammo! It's all gone!
NIH even sponsored a clinical trial of 10 patients with pancreatic cancer and their survival rate is much higher than those treated conventionally. Dr. Kelly's work of treating cancer are quite similar to the method of Dr. Gonzalez —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.244.102.2 ( talk) 18:04, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

You reverted me because of the refrence there included, but if you see the refreced article it said that the valley (must keep reading below) can reach 700 m, and I think that the 700 m its talking about is in Yucaipa (700m = ~2600 ft). House1090 ( talk) 21:12, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey, are you doing a long-term cleanup of the article? I was going to get around to some fixes myself, but I had to address some incivility on the part of one of it's primary contributors first, and didn't want to cause any edit conflicts with you. Thanks for your work with Tulane University. I can be a real stickler when it comes to verifiability. I'd love to hear your thoughts over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#Help With Definition of "Established" Date since I consider you to be a more experienced editor than myself. I suppose it's possible that I've made an error in judgement there and would love to know if you think that's the case, as well. Cheers! -- inquietudeofcharacter ( talk) 23:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi Alanraywiki; Thank you for reversing my category change. I never knew there was a Cal State SB campus in Palm Desert. I should have read the article before I made the change. Now that I know, I do think that a better category would be "Education in Riverside County, California", which is a sub-category of "Riverside County, California". Before I make another mistake, what do you think? Thanks. MissionInn.Jim ( talk) 02:40, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

How about I change it to ...the population centers around 3 major metropolitan areas, the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, the Riverside-San Bernardino Metropolitan Area, and the San Diego Metropolitan Area. Since the 3 metros are in the top 15 in the nation (at least the IE and LA are), better than naming every specific city, like Santa Ana when it usually falls under LA a one city metro.
