Hey. I came across the page Sirus. I have noticed a clear vandilization of this webpage: Maryland U.S. Senate election, 2006 by Fearwig. It is so bad that even the Democratic poll numbes have been changed, each by a few points. Also, Michael Steele was added in the first paragraph, which I deleted. Hello,
I have a question for you regarding Wiki Categories. If a person’s cause of death is, say, stomach cancer, I know to include the Category ‘Stomach cancer’ to their Article. Should I not also add the Main Category, ‘Cancer deaths’? If I do not add this main Category, the person in question would not be included in this main list, and, therefore, what is the purpose of having this main Category list. This is a question that has been bothering me for some time in Wiki, and I have gotten into some disputes with others who say both Categories do not belong in the same article – that including the Main Category, 'Cancer deaths' is redundant. What are your thoughts on this?
Regards,
Thanks for the revert! Tijuana Brass ¡Épa! 15:26, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

I intend to investigate whether you have broken any rules relating to your authority as an administrator in making changes to a page on which you appear to have placed a temporary edit restriction. Rest assured, that if I find that you have, I will persue this strenuously through a complaint and arbitration process. If this was not you, or you have not breached rules, I apologise in advance, but something looks fishy to me. leaky_caldron 19:58, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Your reply and consequent actions will determine how far I need to take this leaky_caldron 20:32, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
1 Do not edit a temporarily protected page except to add a protected page notice. 2 Do not protect a page on which you are involved in an edit dispute (Category:Conflicts).
can you confirm that you are certain that you have not breached the first of these? You did edit the page, as an administrator, while under protection. leaky_caldron 20:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Impossible to gather what logic you applied to this decision. Was it just a case of adding up the votes or did you even bother to read the arguments? Do you operate a slash and burn approach to all your wikipedia contributions ? This may sound like it's uncivil but I assure you it is not. Can you please take a step back and just think for a moment about what you have done. It makes no sense whatsoever to simply dispense with a factual article and you offer no explanation. Just like the guy who is annoyed with you about your Big Brother antics, I too will pursue this. Palx 07:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
So now we have two Sonnenberg pages ... the one I wrote (with the proper title -- it's "Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion ..." not "Sonnenberg Mansion and Gardens", and the one you insist on reverting. I've cleaned up the article, fixed grammar, organized it better, added a couple of additional bits of information that were not there before. How is this a violation of Wiki rules? (For example, let's say "The United States of America" page was originally written as "America, United States of". Woudn't we want to correct the header?) So now, what? Do I propse a merge of the two pages? Your response respectfully requested. CPAScott 11:10, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I've just got a message saying I am blocked from editing because my IP has been used by use "EccentricRichard". This is ironic because I wasn't trying to edit anything anyway and secondly because I'm not EccentricRichard (ER). My user name is Warsatugger, although you may call me Chris. Unlike ER who apparently lives in Surrey, I live in Slovakia. I've only ever editied a page about Robert Mugabe, and haven't done that for a couple of months so would be grateful if you unblocked me. And congratulations! I look forward to serving on the assembly with you and the others. Thanks again! Regards -- Bane s 10:03, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Well done for gaining your seat on the Eseperanza council, and thanks for your vote in my (failed) campaign to stand on the Esperanza council. I apologise for not returning the favour, but you got it anyway - well done! Hopefully we will one day be council members together. Until then, adios! King fish erswift 15:38, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

FireFox, first off, thank you so much for your support in the Esperanza Elections. From a much more dedicated user than I, it really means a lot. Secondly, congratulations on (as expected) doing fantastically in the elections - I am truly looking foward to working with you! -- Nataly a 02:16, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't even mention it FireFox ;) I know that you'll make a really great council member, and one that should lead Esperanza well. It was a privilege voting you into 'office', and I must also thank you for voting for me. I felt amazingly grateful that you had the confidence in me to honour my humble attempts with a vote. Once again, thank you so much my friend, and many, many congratulations!

I've been trying to set up AWB to subst talk page templates, but I'm running into a ton of issues, enough that I can't think of it as reliable. My biggest issue is that I am coming up with tons of nowiki'ed and templates used in conversation. How do you deal with these? Alphachimp talk 02:13, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Compliments on your aesthetically pleasing user page. I quite fancy doing mine up now. Any tips? Celardore Talk 21:53, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Heya, I recently got my bot approved for Unicodifying articles and for substing, I've done a lot of Unicodification so I thought I would give Subst:'ing a ago. I know you and Alphachimp are already working on this so I thought I would check with you. I had a quick look through and I think I would start with the test templates and then move onto the other warning templates - 3RR, spam, blank, vw, verror, so on.-- Konstable 13:22, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I have noticed a clear vandilization of this webpage: Maryland U.S. Senate election, 2006 by Fearwig. It is so bad that even the Democratic poll numbes have been changed, each by a few points. Also, Michael Steele was added in the first paragraph, which I deleted. On a Wikipedia article about Daniel_Vovak Fearwig at one point deleted all mention of my wig, then reverted it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DanielVovak ( talk • contribs)

Hello,
You are right re: Lew Wallace's reported stomach cancer. I was actually suspicious of the source since cancer diagnosis didn't really exist at the time of his death. I believe to maintain the credibility & accuracy needed in Wiki, I will remove the data from the article. Thanks for calling me on it.

Hello,
I have a question for you regarding Wiki Categories.
Based on the subject and style of their recent edits, as well as their contribution history, I am quite sure that the following users are sockpuppets of User:General Tojo, who you blocked indefinitely some time ago. As you may know, this user has a history of using sockpuppets, and has threatened to keep coming back indefinitely under an endless series of puppets.

Oh, and by the way, by deleting the page I created, you wiped out all of my new edits and improvements.

All very curious. Thanks, Chris. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Warsawtugger ( talk • contribs)

My Category:Clay County,Texas edit wasn't a test. It's incorrectly spelled, and the correctly spelled Category:Clay County, Texas already exists. The only page in the improperly spelled cat was already in the correctly spelled cat. I'm trying to list it on WP:CFD, but WP is slow right now. 24.241.227.201 13:22, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I came across this page whilst RCPing, but can't decide whether it's a candidate for MFD or not- the user's only edits seem to be to the page itself, and it reads more like an article than a talk page.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
