Hey, I'm JDC808. The user name itself comes from an account I made on King.com when I was in high school and it's the initials of my name plus "808" that King.com generated. My main focus on Wikipedia has been with the God of War articles, and bringing those to GA (all done), and then to FA (including one FL) (8/14 done). I have also been doing a lot of work with the Destiny-related articles. I've also gotten greatly involved with professional wrestling articles, particularly WWE and All Elite Wrestling events and championships.
I love video games, especially PlayStation, and obviously, God of War. My first PlayStation was the PSone, which I got around the time that the PlayStation 2 (PS2) came out. My older brother had gotten the PS2 but after he got into PC gaming, he gave me his PS2 which I had until May 2007 when it finally died, after which, I got the first version of the slim model. I had the slim model for about two months before I sold it after I purchased my 60 GB PlayStation 3 in July 2007. I had it for two years, but it got the Yellow Light of Death, so I bought the 120 GB slim model and have had it since (although I haven't played it in quite some time). I also got the PlayStation Portable (1000 series) about a month after it launched. I then got the PlayStation 4 on Black Friday 2013 and then the PS4 Pro on Black Friday 2016. I finally obtained a PlayStation Vita (with the original OLED screen) in May 2016 and then finally secured a PlayStation 5 (with disc drive) in August 2021.
Aside from video games and Wikipedia, I have two bachelor's degrees from West Virginia State University: Bachelor of Science in Music Education (2014) and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance—conducting (2016), and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida (2019). I am a native of Charleston, West Virginia where I currently reside and I'm a former AmeriCorps member (having served from 2014 to 2017).
In Volume 6, No. 2 (2nd Quarter, 2013) of the WikiProject Video games Newsletter, I was the Featured editor.

Here are all the articles I've created thus far as being a Wikipedia contributor. Some of them need a lot more editing as I created them and then just basically left them and haven't really done anything to them since (e.g. the high schools).

This is really self-explantory. I was pretty fine just leaving them there since he kept flooding the page, but you're a better man than I and suddenly WP:VGAR is active again. And by 'again', I mean 'six times over what it was at its peak'. Emmy Altava 04:58, 25 September 2012 (UTC) |
