Terbunsky District ( Russian: Тербу́нский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [3] district ( raion), one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,170 square kilometers (450 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Terbuny. [1] Population: 20,837 ( 2021 Census); [5] 22,536 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 24,068 ( 2002 Census); [6] 25,752 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Terbuny accounts for 37.2% of the district's total population. [2]
