Club logos

I have removed the club logos from the template, as using copyrighted images for purely decorative purposes is not permitted under Wikipedia's fair use policy, specifically "The material must contribute significantly to the article (e.g. identify the subject of an article, or specifically illustrate relevant points or sections within the text) and must not serve a purely decorative purpose." I don't think it is purely for decorative purposes. It just shows the club's logo and what is wrong with that ?
The template for the Israeli Premier League has club logos so why is that okay ? Alain Robert
While fair use can be acceptable when used directly in conjunction with the subject, this is simply a list of team names and using fair use images in this context is legally contentious. Fair use images should never be used on templates (further details in the fair use policy and its talk page), and if they are used on the Israeli one it should be changed.
