I want a new Consensus of editers on how to make this template more fair to all New York sports fans. What is More important the flag on New York City in which some venues are not even located in or Shea Stadium the home of over 40 Years of New York Baseball and 19 Years of NFL Football? I can live with a picture Yankee Stadium as long as picture of Shea Stadium is next to it. Dan aka DLA75 02:23 30 March 2007 (UTC)
I am sure we can find a better picture of Shea to be put up. I could even take a new one on my digital camra next week and see if I can post it. Dan aka DLA75 22:37 1 April 2007 (UTC)
The Yankee Stadium picture is not a good fit for this template...we gotta find something else Benje309 21:30, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
I have put up a picture of Shea Stadium do not take it down. Though Yankees fans think every thing is about them it is not. It is not all about the yankees and Yankees stadium. The Beatles preformed at Shea stadium not at Yankee Stadium. It is not you town yankees fan you share it with us. Lets go Mets.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DLA75 ( talk • contribs)
How did you get your consensus? How do we get a new consensus? Take Down the NYC Flag. Last time I checked Giant Sdadium is in East Rutherford, New Jersey not New York City anyway. I am ecouraging Mets. You should Find a way to Keep Shea up. If not take Yankee Stadium down too. This is unfair and disrespectfull to Mets fans. I am encouraging mets fans to post here so we have a new consensus.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DLA75 ( talk • contribs)
I Vote for New York Flag to be taken down a relaced with Shea Stadium or Yankee Stadium must coume down too. The Chicago Template has no pictures I think that is the not bad idea eather. I do like the idea of looing up the Mets and the New York template implies that New York Baseball is sumed up by Yankee Stadium. In 2009 will you premit Citi Field to be up or are we going to be stuck with the New Yankee Stadium? Dan
Since Old Yankee Stadium is now out of use so i took the picture of it down. We can decide latter if we want to put up New Yankee Stadium or Citi Fied to replace it, though I think i am proably in the minority in wanting a picture of Citi Field. The concessus on this board will proably lean towards a picture of New Yankee Stadium.

I used {{ Navigation}} to at least make this box hideable. Over on New Jersey Devils, it was the only one that wasn't. I didn't know how/if there was a way to keep the two column table formatting with the template, so I took a stab at redoing the layout. Lend a hand if you can improve this whopper. :) Thx. — MrDolomite • Talk 16:39, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
I added the Harlem Globetrotters to the basketball section and then added this template to their page. I know they don't compete in a traditional professional league, but they're pretty famous and they're more professional than most of the minor league teams in this template (Westchester Phantoms, cough, cough... who play in a high school gym) 69.120.7.167 ( talk) 20:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I added the Bridgeport minor league teams, the Fairfield colleges, and the Danbury Mad Hatters because Connecticut is a VERY important part of the NY Metro area and they deserve some recognition —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.122.109 ( talk) 14:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
What about a section of defunct teams from the area (New York Black Yankees of the Negro League, Staten Island Stapes of the NFL) and former teams (Brooklyn Dodgers)? I think it would be a good part of history. Arnabdas ( talk) 20:43, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
