As these players appeared on the Kings' roster during the 2007-08 season and have not been released from the organization, please leave them in the template. It will ease the editing of the roster once training camp begins. Shootmaster 44 ( talk) 04:55, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I see that Matt Greene (defenseman; shoulder) is listed here. He is current a non-roster player. Shouldn't he be removed? -- Gmatsuda ( talk) 04:02, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
Edits by Jusgtr indicate that Greene is no longer an alternate captain. However, the Los Angeles Kings have not announced/confirmed that Greene has been replaced as an alternate captain. In fact, Greene, aven though he was on injured reserve last season, remained listed as an alternate captain on the team's official roster throughout the 2015-16 season (per official game notes).
In other words, the template is currently incorrect.
As such, I have asked Jusgtr to revert the edit that removed the "A" from Greene's entry in this template. I have already reverted this user's edit twice, and would prefer to avoid an edit war. That said, if the edit is not reverted within 24 hours, I will revert the edits, notify the user as well as make a note of this on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey. -- Gmatsuda ( talk) 13:23, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
I went ahead and reverted the edit in question due to the fact that it's not likely that I'll be able to get to this until well after the 24 hours I mentioned earlier elapsed. -- Gmatsuda ( talk) 05:16, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Once again, Jusgtr has edited the article to reflect that Matt Greene is no longer an alternate captain, even though the Kings have not confirmed this. I've reverted the edit. No such change should be made without confirmation and an inline reference provided.. -- Gmatsuda ( talk) 22:03, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
Although no official annoucement has been made, Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty have been designated as alternate captains by the Kings. They've appeared in their first two games wearing the "A" on their jerseys. I've also confirmed each player's status verbally with them. If there's a reference to add, I'll do it. But for now, I haven't seen one. -- Gmatsuda ( talk) 09:43, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
