For some reason {{flag|Russian Empire}}
doesn't work anymore properly in articles. Flag doesn't show up at all. But in the same time it works here.

Currently it says
flag alias =Flag of Slovakia (1939–1945).svg
It should be
flag alias =Flag of Russia.svg
Since the Russian flag of today is the same as the one used by the Russian Empire and not that of WW2 Slovakia (!!?)

The Imperial Russian Flag was readopted by Russia after collapse of the Soviet Union
The Russian empire did not use the flag of the nazi-client state "the slovak republic"

Change the 1914 flag from
File:Flag of Russian Empire for private use (1914–1917).svg
to
File:Flag of Russian Empire (1914-1917).svg
as the description notes, the current one is unofficial and the several sources for the new flag shows that thats how it looked in real life.

as the current flags file description notes, the current one is not offical and the several sources for the proposed replacement shows that thats how it looked in real life. Its description upon introduction even states that the yellow field should cover the blue line. Such as this

Please remove 1914 flag from this template. It was never officially adopted as a state flag, or as described in List_of_Russian_flags#Historical_flags_of_Russia: "Flag for private use; also planned State Flag" (emphasis mine). There exists a persistent tendency by some editors to present it as official flag of Russian Empire in World War I infoboxes like here which is clearly misleading.-- Staberinde ( talk) 20:38, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

Replace the 1896 variant file with the regular Russian flag file as the 1896 "variant" is based off of postcards that used a different palette due to the coloring even though most sources point to the modern Russian colors being used officially. SuperSkaterDude45 ( talk) 17:27, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
