Article is new enough, long enough, and adequately sourced. I didn't find any close paraphrasing and a QPQ has been performed. The hook is cited inline to two sources: the online one doesn't seem to mention the quote, so I am assuming good faith that they're in the book source (which I can't access). However, the hook may need revision: the article doesn't state that the monument is definitely dedicated to "nothing in particular"; in fact, it is the quote of one historian, while the article also discusses other possible theories on its reason for erection.

Yes, I thought that might be an issue but I liked the snappiness of the original proposal and thought the quotes might make it obvious that it was an opinion. How's ALT1 -

ALT1: ... that the Umberslade Obelisk(pictured) has been described as a "monument of nothing in particular"?
