ALT3: ... that Thomas Carlyle(pictured) was the first writer to use the expression "
meaning of life"? Source: O'Brien, Wendell. "Meaning of Life, The: Early Continental and Analytic Perspectives". Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Retrieved 28 December 2022.
Detailed interesting GA, on fine sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. Of the hooks, I like the short ALT1 best, however, for formality: the fact needs a (duplicattion of a) citation right after that sentence. The image is licensed, but doesn't show much of his face in stamp size, - I believe that the photograph or the 1938 drawing would serve the purpose to introduce him better. I'd have a lot to say about image placement (don't sandwich text! let people look "in"!) but that is not relevant for DYK, - perhaps look at it anyway ;) - How do you feel about an infobox (... which is also not relevant to DYK, but by now rather the standard)? --
