... that Rik Vercoe gunned down the world record at the
2014 London Marathon for the 'fastest runner dressed as a cowboy' but was pipped to the post by the 'fastest jockey'?
Comment: Ideally for 26 April 2015, to coincide with London Marathon 2015.

Could you add a bit? It is just over 1500 chars but it has a c. 200 character quote in it. Subject is IMO notable and it would be good for London Marathon day. Any chance of a picture? Rik doesn't appear to be the shy type :-). We would have to AGF the Runners World ref but I'm intrigued as to where it says "pipped to the post by the 'fastest jockey'?" Is that in the AGF ref?

Thanks, @
Victuallers:. I'll look to add a little. In the meantime, the phrase, which is my own to avoid copyvio, is based on info at the AGF reference. It is also in the third ref (Lynch, Kevin.
"Virgin London Marathon 2014: All the world records from this year's race confirmed". Guinness World Records.), which shows Vercoe's time of 3:09:09 and the jockey's time of 3:08:30. I've looked for a free photo but I haven't found one yet.

Sorry for the delay. Length now fixed and hook refs are online. No para phrasing spotted. Neutral. Hook is hooky. Pity no image. So tick. thanks.
