... that the New York Tribune Building, once New York City's second tallest building, "vanished almost without a trace, and barely a whimper"? Source:
NY Times 2012
ALT1:... that when the New York Tribune Building was completed, another newspaper stated, "There isn't an editor-in-chief in the city as well housed as the humblest reporter on The Tribune"? Source: "The Tribune Has Had Five Buildings, Including One of City's Earliest Skyscrapers". New York Herald Tribune. April 13, 1941. p. I24.
ALT3:... that the New York Tribune Building has been described as one of three influential early skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan? Source: Landau, Sarah; Condit, Carl W. (1996). Rise of the New York Skyscraper, 1865–1913. Yale University Press. p. 62.
Overall: Recently expanded by 5x, no sourcing issues, really interesting hooks, and no problems preventing this from becoming a DYK. In my opinion I love the first hook and that one should be used although ALT3 is also good.
