This is the nominator's first DYK nomination; as they have less than five noms, they are not yet required to do a QPQ. I agree though that the hooks are bland and should not run. I would have suggested a hook here, but at the moment the article is too short. If this can't be expanded in a reasonable amount of time, the nomination will probably have to be marked as failed.

Sorry to contradict, but I think the first hook is very interesting. Who would have expected a new species of crab to be detected in such a tourist hotspot?

OK. The original hooks should have been struck rather than replaced. They are better now.

DannyS712: The article now has over 1500 characters of readable prose and I changed the content of the hooks.

Valereee: Yeah, I am ok with that. Maybe rephrase it a little so that
ALT2b ... that a third of the known species of the genus Nanhaipotamon(pictured) were discovered in the past ten years, the most recent in 2018 in
Macau
The reason why I wrote the article and nominated it to DYK was mostly to raise awareness about this group of animals, and I thought the recent discovery in Macau was a interesting hook. People seem to disagree, so it doesn't have to mention Macau for my sake.
If ALT2b is used, the image doesn't apply, because it's not a picture of the genus per the hook.

I'm repeating here my thoughts that I don't think the hook works well without the mention of Macau.

Narutolovehinata5: Alt1 also mentions Macau, as do both Alt2 and Alt2b. @
Yoninah: As for the image, it shows another species of the genus, but since the article is not only about the new species only, but about the genus in general, I think that should be ok. Furthermore, I don´t have an image of N. macau, and to my knowledge, the only published one is in the article.
New reviewer needed to review the latest hooks; this has been sitting for over a month. Thank you to whoever reviews it.

Overall: I've copyedited ALT1, which is good to go. However, the picture used is not the most clear; it's dark brown on light brown. May I suggest using
File:Nanhaipotamon aculatum 2.jpg instead? –MJL‐Talk‐☖ 04:32, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

MJL: I just inserted a new image of a bright red crab, that should work, right? The file name is
File:Nanhaipotamon hongkongense island.jpg. I am ok with both options, so choose whichever you think is best. Thanks a lot.

this picture are approved! –MJL‐Talk‐☖ 02:34, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
