ALT1:... that the mountain nyala is featured on the obverse of the
Ethiopian ten cents coin?
ALT2:...that the mountain nyala, endemic to Ethiopia, is the last large antelope reported from
Africa?
Comment: Both of the hooks above are supported by reliable inline citations in the article, and I believe they are interesting.

for now, but close to good to go. This is a well written article. It is more than 5x expanded. Long, well sourced. QPQ done. DYK posted by due date. Earwig's: Copyvio unlikely. Main proposed hook verified in Leslie Brown's scholarly paper page 545; ALT1 verified on page 8 of Malcolm and Evangelista paper. @
Sainsf: Given Nyala is a South African word, I suggest that the main hook be reworded to clarify the hook is about the Ethiopian species. For example: "...that the mountain nyala, endemic to Ethiopia, is the last large antelope reported from
Africa?" or "...that the Ethiopian mountain nyala is the last large antelope reported from
Africa?", etc.

Ms Sarah Welch: Thanks for the review. I would go with the first proposal. The second makes it seem that there are various types of mountain nyala!

, with the above consensus and update to the hooks.

@
Sainsf:, which nomination did you review for the quid pro quo criteria? It is not linked in the nomination, so a promoter will likely check for it. JollyΩJanner 22:56, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
I did not know much about QPQ reviews until I was required to do one for
Mongalla gazelle. I guess no one asked me about this because it was possibly not needed for this nomination, it is I think my 4th or 5th nomination. But if you consider it necessary to have a QPQ done then please inform me. Thanks.

You have
6 credits as of right now, so a QPQ is necessary. Sarah said you had done one, so that's why I was confused. If you feel uncomfortable with your first review, I can give it a second opinion. Regards, JollyΩJanner 05:35, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. I have begun reviewing the nomination for
Adriatic sturgeon, which would be my second review.
