Newly created article, cited and interesting hook, article over 1500 characters and follows all guidelines. However QPQ is pending.

Came to promote; is the fact that a contact-sport athlete got a minor ingame injury interesting enough to be a hook? --

Valereee: It was a bit more than a minor injury; she missed ten weeks. It was also her debut in the AFL Canberra, which was likely her first experience in an organised Australian football competition, having only begun playing the sport that year after switching from rugby. Not sure how to synthesise this information into a neat hook, though! –

Teratix, it's quite likely my complete lack of sports understanding means I'm underestimating the general interest level for this hook. If you and
Royroydeb aren't concerned, I don't object. My concern is always what will happen as it approaches the main page and gets a higher level of scrutiny from people more expert than I in a certain field, so I try to think of possible objections the hook will face. Would this work:
Teratix, is 'on debut in her first season' idiomatic in OzEng or among sporty types? It's fine if it is, just checking. :D --

I believe so. What I'm trying to convey is that it was her first match in her first season. But I don't want to say 'first match of Australian football' because she might have played some casual games as a child. This was her first match in an organised competition. –

ALT2, and I note that ALT0 is also still approved. --
