... that Ladislaus I of Hungary(pictured), who was
canonized in 1192, had admitted that he could not "promote the cause of earthly dignities without committing grave sins" in his letter to the
Abbot of Monte Cassino?

This looks somewhat stale, so I take the freedom to offer a new review. The article has recently been promoted to GA, is long enough, and has ample references. The picture is perfectly suited for display in 100x100, and is published under a suitable license. The nominator did a QPQ review. The original hook occurs in the article, and is directly referenced. ALT1 has a different quote in the article, I changed that. ALT2 is also fine. All sources are offline, so I have to agf on plagiarism. --

I find the original hook a bit wordy, and I'm not sure it is the most spectacular one. It is over 200 characters, though, and would have to be shortened if it was to be used. Perhaps without the canonized subclause?
The picture is not one of Ladislaus but that of a
reliquary in
Győr cathedral. Thus, the "(pictured)" in the hook is inexact. It would be much better to have something like (
Győrreliquary pictured), but that statement is not referenced in the article. Suggestions? Can a reference be found for where this reliquary is situated?
Pgallert, thank you for your review and comments. What do you think of the below hooks?
