Other problems: - Per
Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section, the lead section should only summarize information that is in the article, so the birthdate should be mentioned to the main body of the article (and the references can be moved there per
WP:LEADCITE)
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
Overall: Other than those little points, it looks pretty good. I'd prefer ALT1 over ALT0. Regards

Hi
SoWhy and
BlueMoonset, apologies for thé delayed reply. The hook choice is fine with me and I made the edits to the lead as requested; however I got hung up on paraphrasing the quotes, finding my own paraphrases—to be quite honest—less accurate than the quotations (consequently I have reverted my own efforts). As the quoted text appears only sparingly and are not strictly speaking a policy violation, I’m wondering if we can just leave it be for now as a relatively minor imperfection; after all DYK is meant to highlight new(...ish) content rather necessarily GA or FA standard content.
Sorry again for the delay, had hoped I’d find some inspiration on a fix.

Innisfree987: You are of course right as to the nature of DYK and the standards, so I won't insist on it. I tried a
partial paraphrase myself, see it you like it, feel free to revert if not. Good to go with ALT1. Regards
