ALT4: ... that the first show at the Gershwin Theatre, which closed after seven performances, was the first Broadway show to lose US$1 million? Source: See ALT2
ALT5: ... that Broadway's Uris Theatre did not host its first straight plays until more than a decade after its opening? Source: Botto, Louis; Mitchell, Brian Stokes (2002). At This Theatre: 100 Years of Broadway Shows, Stories and Stars. New York; Milwaukee, WI: Applause Theatre & Cinema Books/Playbill. p. 325. The theater did not host its first
straight plays until 1984, despite opening in 1972 and being renamed in 1983. (Note that some people consider musicals to be a subset of plays, hence the wording "straight play".)

Comment: More hooks later. Two months ago I added
a bunch of references but did not increase the prose size; however, the wikitext byte increase was substantial due to the size of the references. Per
WP:DYKRULES, I am only counting prose in the expansion.

The article has been expanded fivefolds, long enough, referenced, neutral and no copyvio obvious. The hooks are sourced and interesting. The image in the article is free. QPQ done. For notable section, I don't think IBDB is a reliable source, but most of productions have also have Playbill and/or something more reliable to back them up, with the exception of American Ballet Theatre in 1975, but there's probably a review in the New York Times or somewhere else. Will also wait for any other ALTs. (Coincidentally I just nominated an article about a ballet to Gershwin's songs)

Corachow: Thanks for the review. Regarding the sources, despite the similar name to IMDb, IBDB seems to be reliable
based on past discussions. It's published by the Broadway League, which basically defines what Broadway theaters are and whether or not a production is Broadway-class. Unlike its film counterpart, IBDB isn't easily editable by the public; it's more heavily vetted, is much smaller in scope, and requires documentation for any corrections, according to their
policy.Regarding the additional hooks, I will add some ALTs tomorrow. It's a nice coincidence that you nominated a ballet to Gershwin's songs as well.

Actually, let me see if I can expand
Paramount Plaza so I can propose a double hook. I already have most of the expansion for that article in one of my sandboxes.

OK, thanks for the IBDB clarification. Keeping the question mark for now due to the possible double hook.

Corachow: Unfortunately, I'm unable to come up with a suitable double hook, despite having thought about it for a few days.

Approving the hooks here.
