ALT3:... that after the French-built Japanese submarine No14(pictured) had been seized by France and commissioned into its navy as Armide, the Japanese built their own No14 to the same design?
Comment: feel free to remove "by itself" if you think it does not fit in well.

L293D: This article is new enough and long enough, and I have added user Lyndaship to the credits. The image is in the public domain, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I can't see the hook fact, about the Japanese replacing the requisitioned vessel, in the article so I think we need a different hook. A QPQ has been done.
