5x expansion checks out, article is well-supplied with footnotes, and text seems to be original (based on comparison with those sources I could see). The hook is not, however, actually supported by the article, and anyway it induced me to read
Pat Hare before I looked at the target article. I recommend the following alternative hook (AGF on offline source):
