Article has just become a GA (congrats), is long enough and has no copyright issues. Character count of the hook is within the limit, is cited in the article and is interesting. You did a review and image is free and looks good at small size. Good work. -

I have returned this one from prep as it's not at all clear from the source that Miyamoto ever made his own version of 2001: A Space Odyssey as the hook asserts. I think a new hook will need to be found.

Gatoclass, and 2001: A Space Odyssey wasn't surrealist or peace-loving... it's a metaphor. Miyamoto and 2001 are big enough that I didn't think anyone would have that interpretation, which wouldn't be interesting for a DYK hook. I changed "likened" to "described" to be even more clear. The meaning of the hook is still not clear enough IMO. I will give some thought to a tweak.

I think
Gatoclass's ALT hook is the one to use. The wording works better from how it is used in the Eurogamer source IMO. -
