New, long enough, hook is cited and mildly interesting. Some close paraphrasing but not enough to reject the article. However hook is too long, suggest dropping the word "British." --

Euryalus - that suggestion sounds good to me. If shortening it is good, perhaps the descriptors can be removed altogether? E.g.:
Or even ALT2: "... that Dewey L. Fleming was one of nine newspaper reporters who were secretly invited to cover the first
Quebec Conference?"
And were there any incidences of close paraphrasing that stood out in particular that I can try to address?

Apologies for the delay in coming back. Am on a mobile device so can't easily do links, but the Career section is fairly close to the content of the Fischer reference. That said, there are only a certain number of words one can use to describe a list of dates, so it's not a matter worth holding up this nomination. On the new last, I suspect Alt2 would assume too great a level of historical knowledge, so: Good To Go for ALT1. --
