The article is well-written, meets the 5-times expansion criterion, and generally appears to be well-referenced. However, the primary source for the first suggested hook is
a website which may not meet
WP:RS. It is also odd that several of the references are to newspaper or other reports of Elaine Byrne's recent book Political Corruption in Ireland 1922 - 2010: A Crooked Harp? (
ISBN978-0719086885). This gives the appearance of more sources than is actually the case, and the absence of direct references to the book appears to leave the article as a novel
synthesis. I hope that these issues can be fixed, or that I am being excessively cautious :) --

Changed website to history.com, seems to be a more reputable source. Ill try to fix the book references but there's not that much references out there due to the shady nature of corruption! Ill try though.
