Is the film named The Banshees of Inisheer or The Banshees of Inisherin? Why are both names being used in the sources and what's the difference? Can we find a source explicitly mentioning which one is the actual name? BlueBanana ( talk) 17:59, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
its in some horse & buggy time with yet another battle in the background. Can anyone pinpoint the era? 131.191.107.22 ( talk) 03:42, 9 November 2022 (UTC)
Quote: Inisherin (which literally translates as The Island of Ireland)
I would like to see a reference on that. I'm kind of doubtful since the name of the island doesn't contain "Ire" or "Eire". Maikel ( talk) 02:10, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Colm is sometimes (e. g. in the shop) referred to as "Colm sonny Larry", what does that mean? Thanks, Maikel ( talk) 01:51, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
Names like this would usually combine the names of his father and grandfather, in order to differentiate him from other Colms living in the same area. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.152.197.173 ( talk) 03:39, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
The closing credits attribute the tune The Banshees of Inisherin as composed and performed by Brendan Gleeson himself. Philh-591 ( talk) 22:14, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
Mrs. McCormick warns Pádraic that two deaths will come soon. She doesn't say "people". The deaths of Jenny the donkey and Dominic total 2. Philh-591 ( talk) 22:22, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
"Colm remarks that this is the most interesting Pádraic has been, and to himself mutters: "I think I like him again now." Dominic tells Pádraic about what Pádraic said and Colm's reply, and Pádraic goes to Colm on the beach. Colm rejects him, and later cuts off one of his fingers and throws it at Pádraic's door."
Dominic doesn't tell Padraic about this until after the first finger has been cut off. Padraic being told this is what prompts him to visit Colm at Colm's house, when Colm suggests he'll meet up with Padraic at the pub, but actually cuts off four more fingers. 2601:14D:8200:3C0:89C9:CADA:691:75F ( talk) 05:46, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
'Music' section: "These fellow musicians consist of his son James Carty (fiddle), John Carty (fiddle), Conor Connolly (accordion), Oliver Farrelly (accordion), and Ryan Owens (bodhrán)." Seems like a copy & paste fail. Brendan Gleeson doesn't have a son the name of 'James Carty'. John Carty does. A fiddle-playing son named James Carty. John Carty's fiddle-playing father's name also is James Carty. That's why I was unable to figure out how to correct the passage - in a verifiable way. It's John Carty's son James Carty playing the fiddle on screen, though. Korinthus ( talk) 21:21, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

Instead of "largely positive reviews" (fourth to last sentence in the second paragraph) please put "widespread critical acclaim" Jjrona ( talk) 14:42, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
