How long has this been a term in Vermont? I grew up in Vermont and have never heard this until this year. (I’m 39.) — Preceding

I grew up in Vermont and I feel like I've heard it fairly often. Singer-songwriter
Noah Kahan, a Vermonter, named an album after this season. He's a year or two younger than me (27). Still, I am not sure this merits a page if the term truly isn't used outside of Vermont at all.

Live in Vermont and I’ve heard it forever. But I think other states in New England use it too.
