How can Ribes be the only genus of Glossulariaceae? I'm no expert of taxonomic rules, but I've never heard of a family name based on a name demoted to a synonym (which the article seems to suggest). -- ♦♦♦Vlmastra♦♦♦ ( talk) 15:21, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't know how the current pronunciation is sourced. Is that how botanists normally refer to this genus? The Latin would be more like REE-bess or something.
