Anyone want to write a graf or two on Redlands' 20th-century history? I'm really not very up on it--did it go into a period of decline after the 1950s, the way San Bernardino did, or has it always been fairly affluent? I know it's a pretty damn nice town these days (well, as nice as anywhere in the smog-ridden eastern IE could be).-- Slightlyslack 21:10, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thanks to user:Redspork02 for adding the images. However, unless we find out their copyright status they'll be removed soon. Can we find out what the copyright is? Thanks, - Willmcw 21:25, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I am, currently, several miles East, or Southeast, of here.
I've just heard of a fire nearby, as well as a community, district, named " Mountain Home".
Where is " Mountain Home", please?

This article (particularly the history section) sounds like a tourist advert. Please re-phrase the section to present the facts in a more NPOV fashion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.226.19.205 ( talk • contribs) 09:00, 28 September 2006
I can't find a source anywhere for the recent updates to the Demographics section [3], namely, for the part about income. The most current offical Census data for Redlands available at census.gov is dated 2003, the income data is dated 1999 [4]. The update indicating that the median income quadrupled since 1999 looks like a WP:REDFLAG to me. Is anybody else worried about this? -- BeautifulFlying ( talk) 01:27, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Redlands' Mexican-American community was a theme of a book "Images of America: Mexican Americans in Redlands". AOL search came up with a high number of references that can be used. http://search.aol.com/aol/search?&q=Mexican+Americans+in+Redlands&tb_oid=07-06-2013&s_it=TB50CL-ie&tb_mrud=07-06-2013&tb_uuid=BD3DA590F89E47B0829613F118C6C5FA 71.102.1.95 ( talk) 11:06, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
I recently added information regarding the Redlands California Temple under Museums and other points of interest (I added "other points of interest" per WP:USCITY). However, it was reverted. While it is not a museum, it is a significant point of interest and one of only four temples in Southern California. It also is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article about it. I think it is appropriate to discuss on the talk page the merits of readding this information, if not in this section of the article then another. Alanraywiki ( talk) 16:43, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know why there are so many links to non-existent Wikipedia articles? Most of the links on this page are in red. Unless this is on purpose, I'll go ahead and link them to external articles. Mrjmcneil ( talk) 19:36, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Seems to me like it would be more helpful to have links that work, but that is a personal preference. I'll do a compromise and footnote a reference link to the external article. Mrjmcneil ( talk) 20:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
The RUSD oversees ALL the schools in Redlands. Should we just move all the school information to this stub? Mrjmcneil ( talk) 01:18, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Also, I'm creating a Kimberly Crest Stub since I happen to have a lot of references on it. I'll welcome anyone's addition to tray and build it up to being a full-fledged article. Mrjmcneil ( talk) 19:36, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
I just put it up as a stub and I'll continue adding to it over the next week (I'm picking up my print references from Redlands today) to try and get it up to a full-article status. Check it out at Kimberly Crest (Redlands, CA), let me know what you think. Mrjmcneil ( talk) 20:29, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Birksternet, I was out of commission yesterday and so I'm just checking up now. Good idea with the redirect. Mrjmcneil ( talk) 21:13, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I think that some of the language in this section should be reconsidered. I have some issues with the factual accuracy of many statements, mostly because of the language. - Nikhil
Other than The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship and the Redlands California Temple, none of the churches listed have a Wikipedia article. This list should include the notable churches, and not a mere collection of external links or Internet directories. I would like to get consensus before removing so many of these links, however, and give editors a chance to develop articles for the notable churches. Thanks, Alanraywiki ( talk) 14:34, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I see absolutely nothing wrong with the list as it is, and consider it highly arrogant for you to take it upon yourself to remove other peoples' contribution without input or justification. Oleknutlee ( talk) 21:08, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay, that I can appreciate, but rather than simply removing an entire block of contribution I'd suggest a consolidation. I must admit my experience with Wiki is rather limited, but I do make it a rule not to delete credible information. Oleknutlee ( talk) 22:00, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
By the way, I would consider First Congregational the most "notable" church in Redlands, even if it has no Wikipedia article all it's own.

This article, while having some great information, has become largely just lists. I had tried to remove information earlier but was reverted. Much of the information here is not notable for an international encyclopedia (e.g., local bands, shopping centers, etc.) and should be removed. Before I remove certain lists per WP:NOTDIRECTORY, some discussion on this talk page would be appreciated. Thanks, Alanraywiki ( talk) 13:55, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Wasn't http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Make_an_American_Quilt How to make an American Quilt set in Redlands? It was at least partially filmed there.
I was thinking that having a timeline of "redlands" or local events would be great. The Hemet City page has a timeline and it's really easy to use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.0.98.119 ( talk) 17:48, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

I would like to suggest or recommend that our local semi-professional soccer team (Redlands Football Club) get added to the city's wiki, perhaps as a new Content drop down titled Sports Teams, or under Arts and Culture under local events? I would really appreciate this addition being taken into consideration, please.
