Serious problems with this article

There are a number of serious problems with this article that must be addressed. Simply reverting and ignoring the issues will not make them go away.

  • First of all the article is unsourced. Wikipedia policy insists on verifiability. Without cites this is not possible. Uncited material can be challenged and removed. Statements like "there is no race in the world of more ancient lineage or purer descent." are totally unacceptable without reputable cites (if any can be provided for such a controversial statement). The References provided at the foot of the article is not sufficient as it does not indicate what parts of the article is sourced from what reference, it doesn't provide page numbers, and it doesn't provide publishers or ISBN. Please read Wikipedia guidelines on how to cite.
  • A great deal of the article appears to be Original Research, which is against Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia is not the place to publish your original research, no matter how expert you may be on the subject.
  • Much of the article is not neutrally expressed. As an encyclopaedia Wikipedia at all times strives for neutrality. State the facts and let the reader decide. Describing events as "the greatest", people as "remarkable" or actions as "treacherous" is not neutral.
  • If there is a requirement to refer to the Dogras then use a link to the article. You do not write an additional section about them in the middle of the Pathania article.
  • The article does not follow the Manual of Style. Do not put sections in the article IN CAPITALS.

Please, if you care about the quality and retention of your contributions to the article and Wikipedia, address these points instead of adding more of the same. -- Escape Orbit (Talk) 19:49, 7 September 2008 (UTC) reply

My recent revert

The situation referred to by Escape Orbit in 2008 above still applied prior to my recent revert here. I had cleaned up this mess of an article but people keep reinstating older versions that simply do not meet the standards that Wikipedia tries to uphold. For example, we should never use sources from the Raj era (or earlier). Please will people stop reinstating the rubbish - you're welcome to expand the thing using modern reliable sources. - Sitush ( talk) 06:04, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply
