Still exists

Useless trivia, perhaps, but FYI ... NYNEX as a legal entity still exists, and is the parent company of the still existing Verizon New England, Inc.. NYNEX, in turn, is wholly-owned by Verizon Communications. The NYNEX name is not used by Verizon in its marketing campaign. HQ Photo

While the photo used in the article is of the building formerly occupied by Nynex, the building itself was much different prior to MetLife moving in.
