Here are some notes on CBS and tape-delay of the 1980 and 1981 NBA Finals.
1980 Lakers-Sixers (CBS)
Note: CBS would have shown game 7 live on Sun afternoon 5/18 had the series gone the distance.
Summary for 1980 Finals: one tape-delay game, but two of the live games were at 11:30 eastern
1981 Celtics-Rockets (CBS)
Note: CBS would have shown game 7 live on Sun afternoon 5/17 had the series gone the distance.
Summary for 1981 Finals: four tape-delay games
Note: In both years, CBS scheduled games 3 and 4 on back-to-back days (Sat/Sun) to avoid an extra tape-delay game. TMC1982 April 21, 2006
Don Criqui and Steve "Snapper" Jones were the #2 team in 1975-1976 and 1976-1977.
In 1989, Brent Musburger and Bill Raftery were the #2 crew on playoff games. They did the Western Conference Finals games that were broadcast on CBS.
In 1990, Verne Lundquist was #2 play-by-play man (presumably alongside Bill Raftery) on the NBA Playoffs and in fact, did Game 7 of the East Finals (Chicago v. Detroit).

Heyo. I have reviewed this article and have deemed it good. Congratulations. Here are some thoughts:
Looks good. Cheers, ➪ HiDrNick! 04:30, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I have nothing against the article or HiDrNick, but I disagree with the review he gave. I find numerous problems with this article that make it unworthy of good article status. I think they can be fixed up in no time, however in order to contest the decision made to list this article as a GA, I had to submit it for Good Article Review. As a result it may lose its Good Article Status until further improvements are made. For further questions let me know or see the GA Review page. -- Noetic Sage 05:51, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
This article has been delisted as a Good Article following discussion on Wikipedia:Good article reassessment. A consensus was reacehd with 6 delist votes and no keep votes. Judging from comments the main problem with the article is the lack of referencing. An archive of the discussion can be found at Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Archive 29#NBA on CBS. Please consider improving the article as per the archived discussion and renominating in the future. - Shudde talk 04:58, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
